Bright scandinavian home in the beautiful South Funen Archipelago.

We live in a great area with sea, archipelago, small forests, marinas, old ships, small local art galleries and beautiful castles nearby.

Our house is 180 sqm - it is both comfortable and cozy. The decoration is light and typical scandinavian.
We have three bedrooms - one with a kingsize bed, one with a queensize bed, and one with a singlebed. We have possibility of making another singlebed if needed. We have a large bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer, and we have a smaller toiltroom. Our kitchen is fully equipped, and it is connected with the living room.
In the living room you will find a fireplace, which we use in the autumn and wintertime, a television with some danish, german and swedish channels, a dvd-player and a Wii. Also we have several board games and puzzles.
We have WiFi, which you of course are free to use.

Our garden is 1200 sqm, it is nicely surrounded by trees and hedge, and you will find both flowers and a lot of sweet strawberries here in summer. The garden has a treehut, a bonfireplace, a swing and a trampoline. From the livingroom/kitchen you have access to our cozy patio with flowers and herbs, and of course a grill. The patio is perfect for a barbecue and relaxation in the summer, - we spend a lot of time there ourselves and enjoy the outdoor atmosphere.

We have parkingspace for your car in our carport. We have two bikes for adults, one bike for a child between 10-12 years and one bike for a young person between 13-17 years.

Our neighbours are lovely people, - they are both discrete and very helpful if you need anything.

Our house is situated close to forest - only 5 min. walk, and 25 min. walk from the beach Christiansminde, from where you can have a lovely meal on the restaurant Christiansminde. Supermarkets and a bakery are also within walking distance, only 5 min from our house.
The center of Svendborg is close to our home as well, by foot you can reach it in 30 min. There you will find cafes/restaurants, shops and bigger food stores.

You can get around in Svendborg on bike or by bus. We can help you arrange a rental car, if you want longer trips on Funen.
You can fly to Kastrup or Billund airport - from there you can reach our area by train/bus.

Svendborg is a charming old shipping city with 30.000 residents. Svendborg has a small and cozy harbour and marina. In the harbour there are cargo ships, old wooden ships and small ferries that can take you on adventure to some of the many small islands surrounding South Fyn. Boat builders and wooden shipyards have been located in Svendborg for generations, and Svendborg is today the leading modern maritime educational centre in Denmark. The big international shipping compagnie Maersk started here in Svendborg.
In July you can see the racing of old wooden ships in the South Funen Archepelago surrounding Svendborg. It is an old event that takes place every year during summer, it is very typical for our maritime intimate area, and we think it is worth a sight :-)

Svendborg is right in the middle of our country and you can reach our capital Copenhagen in only 2 hours or the beautiful and wild Northern Sea also within 2 hours.

From Svendborg you have access to The Archipelago Trail – a beautiful walk around South Funen. http://www.detsydfynskeoehav.dk/289-frontpage.
The landscape around Svendborg is characterized by fields, hilly terrain (compered to danish nature in general), forests and small child-friendly beaches. Svendborg also offers several local artgalleries and artexhibitions with sculptures, paintings, ceramics and glass.

Some of the other things that you can experience are:

Lifestyle

We have had five great home-exchanges, and experienced very lovely and responsible people, that took good care of our home and pets :-)
We love preparing our home for our guests. We try our very best to make our guests feel comfortable here, and hope that they will enjoy our country. We ourselves enjoy the benefits of our hosts local knowledge and tips. And we love the authentic way of exploring a new place in the world.

We mostly drive in our car to holiday-destinations. However we can fly to the destination if needed - if we do so, we can make a car exchange as well.

We will welcome an exchange into a mobile home.

If you are interested or more curios about us and our place, please do write us.
We will gladly reply to you.
