A compact flat in urban oasis

I have a one-bedroom ground floor flat in one of London's greenest neighbourhoods, close to excellent transport links in Zone 1. The flat might be small, but it has everything needed for a comfortable city stay. The living room has a sofa bed for short-stay visitors. The kitchen/diner opens out into a little garden where you can sit out with your coffee. There's a small double bed in the bedroom, closet space for clothes, and another door into the garden. The bathroom has a really good shower. The flat is very peaceful, with little traffic noise and quiet, friendly neighbours (and double-glazed windows, so very cosy in cold weather).

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: all London airports -

Just minutes away from a major transport interchange, this neighbourhood has been greened up through the efforts of its residents to become a haven in the city. There are two community gardens, one right next to my flat (locked at night) with luxuriant tropical greenery on all sides. The terraced houses contain a real mix of people who tend to know each other and look after the neighbourhood. There's a deli/cafe across the street with great coffee and lunches, and a vegetarian cafe down the road with a London-wide reputation for excellent and cheap food. Step outside into the busy London streets, and there's a choice of local supermarkets, restaurants, bars and clubs. Connected by bus, tube and train, you can get to almost anywhere in London and beyond from the local station. You can even walk to the Thames and catch a riverboat nearby. The Oval Cricket Ground is around the corner, and Tate Britain is just across the river.
