Janet is primary School teacher and i am an Insurance broker. we are in our early forties. Our eldest son Shane is 8 years old and sports mad ,Grace his sister is 5 and started school this year she is a real girly girl who loves Barbie dolls and all sorts of tiny little toys with names like shopkins and nom, noms. North Mayo is one of the most beautiful and wild parts of Ireland, and Ballina is the gateway to it.
Ballina itself is a lovely vibrant town with lots to see and do. in the summer it is busy and bustling with visitors, it has a number of festivals. it is particular famous for its salmon fishing the river moy which runs through the town is considered to be Europe's premier salmon fishing river.
North Mayo is the last really unspoiled part of the west coast of Ireland, the stunning coastal drives bring you past cliffs and sea stacks coves, beaches, bogs, hidden harbors, ancient megalithic sites, sleepy villages and much more.
more then anything else though mayo is its people, warm, open and absolutely love to talk.
we are in the perfect location to explore and discover the west of Ireland from donegal in the north to clare and beyond in the south.
the seaside village of enniscrone is only a few minutes from our house and if you like the beach this is the place to be, swimming surfing, kyacking or just walking on the long sandy beach.
we are blessed in Ballina with a lot of really good restaurants, bars cafes, and hotels.we also have lovely woods, parks and river walks.
