About Our Family

We are Joseph and Silvia. Silvia is a retired educator from Guatemala and I am retired military from the USA. Worked in the financial world after retirement and we decided to move to Guatemala. Two adult children. One in the US and the other in Switzerland

Lifestyle

We are Joe and Silvia was a teacher in the U.S. working with special education children. I was in the U.S. Air Force for nearly thirty years. After retirement I went into the insurance industry dealing with annuities mutual funds etc, 15 years ago we decided to return ti her native country, Guatemala, and have lived happily here ever since. I enjoy golf, photography, oil painting, writing and travel. Silvia enjoys working with the poor mostly. It keeps her busy. Our home in Antigua is a second home and is available most of the time. We were with Home Exhange for several years until they “improved” it. We have completed exchanges in Spain, Italy, Norway, Holland, U.S and Argentina.
