Condo in Washington DC (Kalorama neighborhood), USA
We are editing this description as we have moved one neighborhood away from Georgetown.
We offer a two bedroom condo in the exclusive Kalorama district of Washington, featuring "Embassy Row"; it is conveniently near bus and Metro routes, and has easy access to the highways leading out of Washington.
We overlook a charming park, featuring a community garden, children's playground, and butterfly garden; our vista west boasts picturesque and dramatic sunsets and the National Cathedral; and we are a short walk from leafy Rock Creek Park and the National Zoo (Pandamania!). We are also one block from an extraordinary street of restaurants, cafes, and bars, distinctive, lively, and surprising in its range: Himalayan, Korean, West African, Armenian, Afghan, Japanese, French, Chinese, Indian, vegetarian, vegan...even a Ukrainian bakery. The National Mall and its array of museums, the Capitol and White House, are nearby..
In Georgetown, the area south of M Street is dominated by two waterways – the Potomac River and the historic C&O Canal. Georgetown Waterfront Park offers waterfront dining, outdoor skating rink in the winter, and In the summer months a boathouse to rent a kayak, canoe or paddleboard. Many small parks are tucked away in Georgetown - historic houses/museums - Tudor Place, Dumbarton House, and Dumbarton Oaks. Georgetown’s commercial center is walking distance to Georgetown University, the oldest Catholic university in the United States (where we both teach).
Washington DC is a good starting point for regional travel:
Philadelphia 2 1/2hours
NYC 4 hours
Blue Ridge Mountans 1 1/2 hour
Atlantic Ocean beaches 2 hours.

Georgetown is a designated historical district and is known for its quaint cobblestone streets and 18th and 19th century architecture. Georgetown offers a variety of 450+ shopping, dining and entertainment options in a beautiful, historic setting. M Street, Georgetown’s main avenue, is recognized as one of the best shopping streets in the country. The intersection of M and Wisconsin Avenue is the heart of Georgetown, with boutique-lined streets extending in all four directions. The area south of M Street is dominated by two waterways – the Potomac River and the historic C&O Canal. Georgetown Waterfront Park offers waterfront dining, outdoor skating rink in the winter, and In the summer months a boathouse to rent a kayak, canoe or paddleboard. Cady’s Alley is Georgetown’s “design district,” with more than 20 home furnishing showrooms, boutiques, and restaurants nestled in a cluster of historic industrial buildings. Many small parks are tucked away into the residential neighborhood, as well as three historic houses/museums - Tudor Place, Dumbarton House, and Dumbarton Oaks. Georgetown’s commercial center is walking distance to Georgetown University, the oldest Catholic university in the United States (where we both teach).
