Our house is bright, modern, open plan, and recently refurbished. There is a large lounge leading through to a dining room, which opens out to a large south facing patio area and garden. The new kitchen is large, modern and very well equipped.  Upstairs there are  3 bedrooms; master bedroom, ensuite with  electric shower, a double bedroom and a single bedroom. There is a main bathroom upstairs and downstairs there is a third toilet. 
Location: It is in a very quiet estate within walking distance of Douglas village with its variety of shops, restaurants and pubs. We are located within a twenty minute drive of the  coastal tourist towns of Kinsale and Crosshaven and a ten minute drive of Cork City which can also be accessed by public bus, with the bus stop a three minute walk away. We are a ten minute  drive  from Cork International Airport and twenty minutes from Ringaskiddy car ferry.

Cork makes Lonely Planet's top 10 cities

Cork City has been named among the top 10 in the best cities to visit in the Lonely Planet guide's 'Best in Travel 2010'.
The guide praises the city saying 'Cork is at the top of its game right now: sophisticated, vibrant and diverse, while still retaining its friendliness, relaxed charm and quick-fire wit.'
The book's editor said : 'Cork has been in Dublin's shadows for far too long, it has emerged as a fantastic destination in its own right with great restaurants, galleries, bars and shops as well as stunning scenery on its doorstep.
We are located at what really is the edge of Cork city, with farms within 200 yards of us, and yet we are within easy access of Cork city and Douglas village. It is the ideal location to be able to enjoy city life and yet be within easy access of West Cork and Kerry.
We are   keen golfers and there are several excellent golf courses within twenty minutes drive of our home - Douglas (5 minutes) Monkstown (20 minutes) Kinsale ( 20 minutes) and a host of others including Cork Golf Club and Fota.
Car exchange is a possibility and further details provided as required.
We would also be interested in going to London for a weekend at any time - direct flights from Heathrow and Gatwick to Cork
We are interested in a house swop during the following school  holiday periods in 2015.
