Lelystad is situated in a green city, in a beautiful landscape surrounded by woods and a big lake in the neighborhood. In a distance of 5 km you will find a wildlife park with animals like wild horses, deers, and storks. On the coast of the lake (2 km) there is the biggest outlet shoppingcenter of the Netherlands. In the same area you will find several museums and old restored ships. The famous Oostvaardersplassen (www.staatsbosbeheer.nl) are also situated near the lake. The area is about 50 km2 and a few years ago they made a movie about it (you tube: de nieuwe wildernis). Lots of possibilities for walking and biking. In the park there are watchingposts so you can have a great look over the area. Within 5 km you will find several golf courses with cosy restaurants. If you want to visit Amsterdam, it only takes 35 minutes by train.

Recently we moved to another place. We now are living in a brand new apartment (103 m2) on the top floor (3 levels) . Its is very spacious and luxury decorated. A bright living room (43 m2) with an outside balcony. Further there is one bedroom and one walking closet. It is a one level apartment. In the building there is an elevator. It is situated near the town center and the train station. Just within 12 minutes walk. There are two bicycles at your disposal which can be placed downstairs in a separate indoor bicycle shed.

Lelystad ligt in een prachtig natuurgebied met veel bossen en een groot meer in de nabijheid. Op 5 km afstand ligt een natuurpark waar veel  dieren zoals herten. wilde paarden en ooievaars vrij wonen. Aan de kust van het meer (5 km afstand) is het grootste outletshoppingcenter van Nederland. Ook zijn daar musea en liggen er prachtige oude schepen. Aan het meer ligt een natuurgebied de Oostvaardersplassen. Dit gebied is ongeveer 50 km2. Je kunt er wandelen en fietsen. Ook zijn er uitkijkposten. Op anderhalve km afstand van ons huis ligt een prachtig golfterrein met een gezellig restaurant. Ook op 4 km en op 15 km zijn nog twee golfterreinen.
Amsterdam is op 50 km afstand goed bereikbaar per auto of trein (station 2 km). Vanaf december 2012 zijn ook het noorden en het oosten vanaf Lelystad per trein bereikbaar. Vlakbij ons huis is een busverbinding naar het centrum van de stad, waar ook het treinstation is.
