House in Great Glemham, Suffolk, Great Britain
Our home was probably built about 200 years ago.
The house has been sympathetically extended and modernised and is comfortably furnished.
Outside we have a double garage and some useful outbuildings. We have a big garden with flower borders, vegetables, fruit trees, a pleasant patio and a pond.
We have a small friendly cat called 'Eddie', he can come and go through a cat flap. We would like exchange partners to feed him. We also have two chickens. We would like exchange partners to feed the chickens...and enjoy their eggs!

Our Neighbourhood

Great Glemham is a very small and attractive Suffolk village surrounded by farms and woodland. We have a church, a community hall, and a pub that serves local beer and meals, but there is no longer a school or shop. Our nearest shops are10mins away, by car, in the small towns of Framlingham or Saxmundham. As well as shops Framlingham has pubs, restaurants and a castle.
The attractive riverside town of Woodbridge is about 20mins away. It is also an easy 20minute drive to the Suffolk coast, a protected area of natural beauty, popular with walkers and bird watchers. Unspoilt seaside towns such as Aldeburgh, Southwold and Walberswick have a special character. Snape Maltings (a well known venue for classical music, particularly Opera) and a number of museums and historic homes are all close.
Most visitors want to explore the countryside and coast and to enjoy a part of England that is still tranquil. However other amenities such as ten pin bowling, roller skating, cinemas and theatres are within easy reach. It takes us about 1hr 30mins to get to Cambridge, 1hr to get to Norwich, 45mins to get to Bury St Edmunds and about 30mins to get to the centre of Ipswich. We can get to London in about 2hrs by train or car.
