Brief description
The apartment is 120 m2 on a 4th floor in a lovely house with a elevator, the house was built in 2020. It is a comfortable place for a couple or a couple with up to 3 children, to stay in Reykjavik. We just put a hot tube on the balcony and we love it :)

There is a very big private terrace outside area just for this apartment (170 m2). There is a shower in the bathroom and there is a laundry room in the apartment with washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is well equipped and also has a dish washer. Wifi router (internet connection) is within the apartment.

Laugardalur, which is a big outdoor and leisure area is also close by. There you can find a Zoo, family park, swimming pool, Ice skating arena and a big green area. There are many shops near the apartment, the next grocery store is on the corner and a thai takeaway, nice sushi restaurant, middle eastern restaurant, pizza place, a burger joint, sandwich place and a chicken restaurant are all close by. Car and bikes
We have a car and three bikes. One of the bikes has a chair for small children, up to 18 kg. Also we a small bike for a 4 year old.

It’s our ambition to make our guests feel welcome and we will provide good information of interesting sights, excursions and recommendations to our favorite restaurants, shops, etc.

About Our Family

We are a family of four. Ágústa is a project manager at the University of Iceland. Hörður is a project manager for the city of Reykjavík for adult leasure centers. Úlfhildur was born the summer of 2013 and is getting very tall very fast and Birta was born in 2017 and has just started school and is always busy. We also have a cat and see is so love. She can stay elsewhere if that is your choice. We had three very pleasent home exchanges in the summer of 2012 in Spain, one great one in Belgium the summer of 2014 and in 2016 we had one in Copenhagen and one in Helsinki. After a bit of a break we had a home exchange with Sweden in the summer of 2022 and it was fantastic. It reminded us of the beauty of the home exchange. It is the best way to travel.
