House in Karlsruhe, Germany

Our house was built in 2005 and has three floors with a total of 139 square-meters. On the ground level, there's the master bedroom (26sqm) with an exit into the garden and a terrace in front. The master bedroom is equipped with a double bed. The first floor is the center of the house. It occupies the spacious living-room with an open kitchen, table to eat. The dining area has a wooden table, chairs and a bench. You can seat up to ten people around it. In the other part of the room you can sit and relax on our sofa (seating up to 6 people). There's an LED Flatscreen TV, PS4, Sonos W-Lan-Soundsystem. You can also use the piano.
On entering the house in the first floor, there's a small hallway and WC.
On the third floor are three kid's-rooms: The largest has one bed in it and lots of toys (22sqm). The other two kids rooms are split-level rooms. We built second levels in them, since they're up to 4,20m high. This way, they have enough space for a bed and playing area (around 15 sqm). We did a lot of remodeling over the past couple of years so all the rooms are in very good condition with wooden flooring. On the third floor, you also find a large daylight bathroom (12 sqm) with two sinks, WC, shower and bath-tub.
From the livingroom, you have a pretty view into the green park across, which you can enjoy from a balcony. We built a wooden bench on our balcony where you can lay down and enjoy the sun. In the park across you find a soccer- and basketball-court for free use as well as two playgrounds (one with water). There are three more playgrounds within short walking distance both for younger and older children.
Since we have high ceilings (2,7 m in the living room and up to 4,5 m in the kid's rooms), the house is very bright and sunny.
Our small garden has some raspberry-bushes in it and there are flowers. We usually grow tomatoes over the summer. The kids can splash about in an inflatable-pool if they want.
Our home is well equipped with many toys (both outdoor and indoor). Since we both love to cook, our kitchen has all neccessary equipment, too. In the living area, there's a Sonos Sound System which you can use. There are plenty of fresh herbs in our small garden infront of the house. For doing the laundry, there's a washing-machine and dryer in a basement-room.
Our house stands on a hill in a small, quiet village with about 3500 inhabitants. In our development, there're mostly families with children. All streets are cul-de-sacs so the kids can play out on the street (we have a socer goal and several toys for outside use).

Our Neighbourhood

In front of the house is a small street where the kids play a lot (as you can see on the pictures). Since many familys are living here, they most often find a playmate.

Within walking-distance, you can reach a bakery and butcher. If you are looking for small shops in a pretty surrounding, you can take the bus to Durlach, a small town close by (10 minute busride). There's also a weekly market for fresh vegetables, cheese, flowers and so son. Grocery stores can be found within a 10 minute drive or also in Durlach.
