A real cozy house in south of Sweden, close to Copenhagen
Hello dear Intervac members around the world!
We live in a small but scenic and most beautiful coastal city, in the middle of the greatest vibrant region in the south of Sweden. Close to everything you wish for! Great nature and really close to interesting major cities in two countries! It’s easy to get to us, take a flight to Copenhagen take the elevator downstairs to the trains going over the bridge to Sweden. And within the hour you have arrived at our house, welcome!

In 2014 The New York Times thought that Elsinore in Denmark was the place to go, 2016 The New York Times, says that Skane in Sweden is the place, so why not do both at one go!
Landskrona is a beautiful summer city and there is a lot to experience in the neighborhood!

Why don’t you pack a picnic basket and take our bikes onboard the boat from Landskrona and explore the small island Hven, don’t forget to bring your swimsuit

Hven was the home of the famous astronomer Tycho Brahe
If you are a whisky buff you can’t miss to visit Spirit of Hven, the local distillery on the island! They have on a short time built a well renowned and well-deserved reputation! The Whisky bar “Backafallsbyn Spirit of Hven” is ranked as one of Sweden’s best Beer- and Whisky bars!

It’s a spectacular and unique experience! Or go to another national park for some different part of that magical Swedish nature

Just 10 minutes away lays the city of Helsingborg

It has many really good restaurants and great shopping streets. From here you can easily go by boats that depart every 10 minutes to the city of Elsinore with Kronoborgs castle the stage set for Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Elsinore is a cozy city to stroll around in and is one of the cities’ to visit in 2014 according to New York Times!

We do live at the seaside and if you are interested in the fine art of fishing were a lot of opportunities to do so! We can arrange for some equipment during your stay! There are fishing boats departing from the harbor nearly every day.

Or why not try to catch some fish in the center of town in Landskrona. That usually messes with our visitors’ head, but it is true. At the moat surrounding Landskrona Citadel, the 16th century fortress built to protect the citizens of the town, there is put and take fishing for salmon trout and rainbow trout and you can fish from dawn till dusk. You need a fishing permit and you can buy one at Fiskekontoret (the ‘fishingoffice’), which is right by the moat. Nice to grill fresh caught fish with a crisp and cold Riesling in our garden!
Close by is the city of Malmoe and the old University City Lund which both are worth more than one visit!
Our house was built 1930 and has been refurbishing with a gentle hand, trying to preserve the charm but adding all the modern convenience that you need. The house is located in a quite part of town. In 5 minutes by bicycle you have access to the city or the seaside! On the first floor is a fully equipped kitchen with all appliance you need, it has a small bar section for that cocktail before dinner. A large dining room with an always tuned piano ;D There is also a relax room with a 50” plasma TV with a descent surround system, sat.tv, PS3 and a streaming unit with an endless music library. You also have access to Viaplay so you don’t have to miss that favorite game in NHL, NFL, PGA, Premier league or Champion league or if you prefer you can watch your favorite TV show! This room has direct access to a patio in our beautiful garden. Of course free WIFI throughout the whole house and garden. On the first floor is also a small toilet. On the second floor is the master bedroom with a really comfy bed, it has an on suit bathroom. On the second floor there is also an office with PC and internet access. And there is also an large dressing room were we can ad one extra bed if you wish.
In the basement is the utility room with washing and drying machine and a hobby and workshop area. But also a decent home cinema with 104” screen, full HD projector and a really good surround system, PS4 with lots of games and a big catalog with HD movies and concerts. There is also a really good hi-fi system with streaming media and a huge music catalog in different formats such as vinyl, wav and HD music. Of course it’s possible for you to link up your own devices such as Iphone’s, android tablets or PC into the system for your entertainment. Every part of the house is linked together so you can stream music on every floor and in the garden. It’s relaxing and enjoyable and we recommend you to experience it!
And finally 59 reason to visit Skåne http://newsner.com/2014/12/59-skal-till-varfor-skane-forandrar-dig-for-alltid-herregud-varfor-bor-inte-alla-har/

Pets
- We have one very friendly and low maintenance cat ;-) He have access to a cat flap so he only need food and water but a lot of loving! Both Marie and I have grown up with cats. And we must say that Zoran are the most gentle and the friendliest cat we ever known. He can be a bit shy in the beginning but when you get to know him you got a friend for life! And NO…. you can’t bring him home with you! If you would like to for instance, make a stay over in Copenhagen or somewhere else. We have two very dear friends of ours that are ready to cover up for you and take care of Zoran. YES! he has stolen their hearts. They are also prepared to be at your assistance in any question you might have regarding your vacation in Sweden.
