A nice house in the trendy West End of Glasgow

PLEASE NOTE: No more exchanges are available in 2019.

Partickhill Court is in the residential area of Hyndland in the West End of Glasgow, Scotland’s biggest city. Within walking distance to Byres Road known as the heart of the West End due to its many shops, restaurants, bars and cafes, and nearby the Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove and Glasgow University.
The end terraced bungalow, built in 1970, sits in a cul-de-sac of eight houses in private communal gardens. The house consists of 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 with adult sized bunk beds), lounge, large kitchen/dinning area, family bathroom and shower room with a toilet. The house is of an unusual design which includes an integral patio and small private garden to the back of the house. I have a small dog, which will not be in the house during any exchange visits.

A car exchange is also negotiable. A small garage (takes my Peugeot 208 car) is available as local parking charges are in operation.

Glasgow is home to three universities, many art galleries and museums the most recent being the Riverside Museum named as European Museum of 2013; top notch restaurants; array of entertainment venues and a thriving retail scene including high street chains as well as many independent shops. The city residents, Glaswegians, welcomed the Commonwealth Games in July 2014 with all the venues now in use by city residents, and the city will host the European Championships in August 2018. Not only is Glasgow a hip and artsy city famed for its residents with fast-talking charm and humour, while Edinburgh is just a 75minute train journey to enjoy the historical delights of the capital city of Scotland. Glasgow can also be the gateway to the Scottish Highlands and Islands using public transport (train, bus and ferry) or by car. Loch Lomond is a 40min drive or 30min train journey from my house, and Oban is 2.5hr drive through beautiful lochside and mountain scenery.
