Visit denmark if you like rolling hills, Vikings and LEGO. Our recidence is placed in the center of Denmark.

We are happy to welcome you in our 7 room house, with a nice veranda and a flowering garden. We have just renovated the basement with a new living room, bathroom and a little kitchen. Nienke loves to decorate and design the house. Mads is interested in reading. You will therefore find these two interests present all over the house. The girls, Ineke and Marieke live in the upper floor. And our 2 loving cats Leif and Chucky are mostly where we are. They have there own cat door so they independently can walk in and out. If you give them food and water I can guarantee a lot of loving from them.
Asmund likes to make rap music an has a small music studio in the basement. Nienke has a ceramic studios in the garage. Mads has a study were he can dwell in the vivid period of history. Marieke is busy with ballet and Ineke is playing the piano. Yes it is a living house we live in. And we hope you will feel so too.
We live 5 minutes ride from the town center. We have bikes you can use to discover Aarhus. Aarhus is european culture city this year and there wil be a lot of art, theater an other cultural events going on. We can recommend moesgaard museum a newly built museum with modern exhibitions about prehistoric times and the Viking age. Each year at the end of July a huge viking meeting and battle takes place there, "Vikingemarked". It is very spectacular with Vikings from all over the world who comes to battle other Vikings. there you can also find small beaches that stretches further south and north, with forest in both directions.
We hope to hear from you.

Close to Aarhus:
By car you can reach nice neighbor towns like Ebeltoft, the town of glass art, also the 19th century battle ship "Jylland" can be visited. , Silkeborg has nice sourroundings with lakes, canoes can be hired.

Further away from Aarhus:
50 minutes by car you can visit Legoland
1-2 hours west you will find the refreshing west cost with kilometers of long white sandy beaches
Within 1 1/2 hours by car you will find Odense H.C Andersen's town

We live in Jutland. It is farmer's country. Aarhus is quite urban and has recently been named by Lonely Planet and New York Times as a new interesting tourist destination. The food scene has developed and the city has now more than three Michelin restaurants. Also the food market stalls have been mentioned by New York Times in autumn 2016. There is forest and beach everywhere. Many students live here because of the university. Outside Aarhus you will see nice yellow rolling fields, lakes and sea every were you go. The east coast of Jutland where we live is hilly with forrests and fjords and lakes and small towns. Western Jutland is windy and rough. You have nice acces to the North, South, East and West by toll-free highways. There are several ferrys connecting Norway, Sweden. There is alvor a ferry to the island of Samsø in the bay af Aarhus.
