A spacious rural haven very close to Cork city
Nestled in the rolling hills of the beautiful Lee valley, our home is a spacious 3-storey modern dwelling set on a large site containing mature landscaped gardens which include various outdoor seating areas to capture the sun at various times of day, a firepit, kids' play area and 600 ft garage containing adults' and children's bicycles, scooters and go-karts. Our home has four large bedrooms, four bathrooms including a large jacuzzi in the master-ensuite, large kitchen, utility room, open plan living area including a sunroom which overlooks the garden, a library, playroom and large games room on the upper floor. Three of the bedrooms are double rooms with the fourth containing two single beds.
We live on a beautiful rural road, surrounded by agricultural land and extremely friendly neighbouring families. We live within 1km of shops, a pub and restaurant. Cork city with its bustling shopping, cinema, theatre, pub, restaurant, cultural scene and airport is less than a 30 minute drive away. We live equally close to the stunning West Cork coastline, with Clonakilty (30 mins), Kinsale (30 mins.) and the stunning Inchydoney beach (35 mins.) all within easy access. We are spoilt for choice with the range of rugged landscapes both east and west of our home. Killarney, with its famous National Park and lakes (45 mins.), Ring of Kerry (2 hours) and the breathtaking Dingle peninsula (2 hours) are all within easy reach for day trips. Closer to home Blarney with its castle and gardens (30 mins.), Macroom (10 mins.), Farran Woods (10 mins.) and the river Lee (5 mins.) providing various water sports, walks and hikes. A choice of horse-riding and golfing venues are available within minutes of our home. Public transport (bus) is available from our road while Kent Station Cork (train) is within easy access. Dublin and Galway are both a 3-hour drive away while Waterford and Wexford can be reached in an easy 2-hour drive.

USDC117We had a wonderful exchange experience with Joseph and Ann Marie and their boys. It was easy to coordinate details with them, their home is lovely and the location was rural (a plus for us) and convenient to many places. They took excellent care of our home and were very caring toward our cats.
