Detached 1930's house, consisting of a large living/dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, a hall and WC on the ground floor. Two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor, and two bedrooms on the second floor. In the garden, there is a covered terrace (suitable for breakfast or lunch in the summer) and a terrace next to the house. The house is opposite the park in the centre of Zeist. Zeist, which is central in The Netherlands and in the middle of nature, offers all facilities, and cities such as Amsterdam and Utrecht are easily accessible, including by public transport.

The house includes a study/granny-flat extension to the rear, which can be completely separated off and is not currently planned to be part of the exchange; if the exchange is not simultaneous, the owners may well reside there while the house is occupied by others.

We have written a 'User Guide' for visitors, containing a wealth of useful information about the house and local environment, which will be provided to vistors.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Amsterdam - Schiphol - 45 minuten (auto/trein)

Zeist is a small town in the centre of The Netherlands (NL), a few kms east of Utrecht. The town has its own palace, or Slot (https://www.slotzeist.nl/). By walking a few hundred metres south of the house, you will be in the woods.
A guide to some of the highlights of NL can be found at http://www.holland.com/global/tourism.htm.
There are a number of attractions in the area, including:
- lots of options in Amsterdam (see http://www.iamsterdam.com/en/see-and-do), which can be reached within an hour by either car or train from the local (Driebergen-Zeist) train station.
- Utrecht, which is best reached by bicycle (30 minutes) or bus (end of the street): https://www.visit-utrecht.com/ and https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2019/sep/11/utrecht-alternative-city-guide-food-drink-beer-bars-culture
- for a rural and cultural mix, the Hoge Veluwe National Park is about 30 minutes east, being a large parkland around which you can cycle on free white bikes, with an important art museum, etc. within it: https://www.hogeveluwe.nl/en
- there is a lot of countryside in the province, much of it managed by the Utrechts Landschap: https://www.utrechtslandschap.nl/
- walks in the area (and the rest of NL) can be found on the Wandel Zoek pages: https://www.wandelzoekpagina.nl/
- for swimming - with kids - visit zwembad Dijnselburg (https://www.zwembaddijnselburg.nl/) and for saunas we recommend Sauna Soesterberg (https://www.thermensoesterberg.nl)
- in Arnhem, also about 30 minutes to the east, there is an open-air museum, with lots of examples of Dutch rural architecture and culture: http://www.openairmuseum.nl/, and a zoo: https://www.burgerszoo.nl/
- there is another zoo at Rhenen (20 minutes east), who have recently obtained some pandas: https://www.ouwehand.nl/en
- there are a number of local attractions in and around Zeist itself, including the Pyramid of Austerlitz (http://defransetijd.nl/), walks in the park at Beerschoten (https://www.utrechtslandschap.nl/infocentra/paviljoen-beerschoten), the National Military Museum in Soesterberg (https://www.nmm.nl/) and walking along the river to Amelisweerd (http://www.vriendenvanamelisweerd.nl/)
- there are lots of festivals in Utrecht, including the annual Early Music festival (http://oudemuziek.nl/home/), and Zeist itself has a music festival in August (https://zeistermuziekdagen.nl/Festival)
