Sunny appartment in Barcelona, Spain

Dear Intervac friends! Greetings from sunny Barcelona, Spain.
Barcelona, with a population of aprox. 1,6 million people, is surrounded by the sea, two rivers and the Tibidabo hills.
We are a couple: Joan, purchase manager, and Gisela, a musictherapist. We have a son and three daughters. They are all independent now, so maybe we will be travelling with one or two of them.
We are vegeterians and non smokers. (Please do not smoke in our appartment or balcony at all.)
Our appartment is in a main street, so we can get to the shops or to the center in a few minutes. Our home has 3 large bedrooms, 2 smaller bedrooms, 1 full bathroom and 1 small bath, a modern kitchen, a living room.
The public bus system has a stop right on our street. You can take the 17 bus to go to the Barceloneta beach, or the 24 bus to go to Parc Güell. The nearest stop on the underground system is two streets away. You can take the yellow line to go to beach too.
The appartment is near some train stations that will take you to Girona or Figueras (North), Sitges or Tarragona (South), or Montserrat (West).
We have one she cat and some plants that require some attention both inside the house and on the 2 balconies. Cuqui, the cat, is very friendly and cute. If she likes you, she will want to sleep and eat with you...
We live in Eixample, where most modernist buildings are, as well as Gaudi's La Pedrera. We are some 15' walking distance from Raval and the old quarters.
We have some instruments: piano, harp, djembé, bongos, darbuca, flutes,... We would like you to take care of them too. We do not lock our cupboards, so would like to exchange with honest and confident families who do not lock their cupboards when we visit your place.
We hope you enjoy your stay in Barcelona!!

Hello! Greetings from sunny barcelona, Spain. Barcelona, with a population of aprox. 1,6 million people, is surrounded by the sea, two rivers and the Tibidabo hills. Winter weather is mild and summer weather here is hot and sunny. we live in the centre of town, at the eixample neighborhood, one block from pg de gracia, which has a great number of shops, some parks and children's playground. within two blocks of our home one finds several cafes, one bookstore, three supermarkets, a pharmacy, a couple of bread shops, several restaurants and tapas bars, a gourmet food shop, and an Italian restaurant/pizzeria, a chocolate delicatessen restaurant and shop, some sushi restaurants, two chinese restaurants, an argentinian restaurant, as well as an array of boutiques, banks, and small eateries. there are wonderful cultural events throughout the city during the summer, including any number of musical performances, theatre, and outdoor festivals at the greek theatre. barcelona has some science museums and numerous activities for children. You can find more details at www.bcn.cat  or at www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/sp/barrio/eixample-barcelona.html

About Our Family

We are a cultural family. We love painting, drawing, music, museums, beautiful historical things and cities. I am a musictherapist and work at a museum. Marc is an architect and Anna paints.
When we travel we leave Cuqui at home in Barcelona. We have one she cat. She likes the best, most confy, softer place in the house: sofa and pillows! If you are sitting, then your lap will do.

Lifestyle

The tradition in Catalunya is to take the "gegants" i "cabeçuts" for a stroll on some spacial days during the year: the saint patron day in town.
