Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Nelson Airport - 3km

We live in a 1950s house in the coastal suburb of Tahunanui, a 15 minute drive to Nelson city centre and a 5 minute drive to a lovely sandy beach and local shops.
Our local beach is popular for swimming, paddle boarding and kite surfing. There is also a playground, hydroslide and mini golf course close to the beach. The Saturday morning market in Nelson is a popular attraction.
There is a network of hillside walks as well as tennis courts and a bowling green close to our house. The Great Taste Regional Cycle Trail starts at Nelson Airport and there are many mountain bike trails and walks in the hills around Nelson.

The Nelson region is known for its beautiful coastal area of Abel Tasman National Park, its apple and kiwifruit orchards and wineries. Also it is the only area in NZ where hops are grown. Inland there are opportunities for fishing in the region's beautiful lakes and rivers.
