Quiet hideaway in "The happiness valley" near Granada, Spain

Looking now for an exchange summer 2020, from July 15th to August 15th.

Cozy house for all kinds of people looking for tranquility and harmony. Located in an old orchard of Lecrín Valley (known as the Valley of Joy), it is the perfect paradise with a special energy where to rest and reconnect with oneself. Restábal is an ideal place for nature lovers, for people interested in a quiet, calm hideaway with a glass of wine by the pool, but also for families looking for fun and anyone looking for adventure and culture. And of course... why not a little of all that?

Our house is a sunny recent building in a small village, Restábal, with the flavour of ancient Spain and surrounded by beautiful walking trails through all kinds of fruit trees. Close to everywhere, there is a microclimate in this valley where it is never too hot, never too cold. Europe's most Southern ski resort is a 45 minutes drive, the Mediterrean sea and Spain's Tropical Coast is just 25 minutes away.

With more than 200 square metres, five bedrooms and three bathrooms, this house can easily acommodate a big family and it is very comfortable for children. The garden has a nice lawn, several trees and a private salted swimming pool (no problems with chlorine!). There are also two dining areas outside, one in the porch near the living room, the other one at the back of the garden, under a fig tree and two orange trees, beside the pool. Being outside at night is a real delight. A lot of sub-tropical fruit grow here, but what you mostly see are orange and lemmon trees.

Everything is possible in Granada!!!

Beautiful beaches are twenty minutes away from Restábal. Europe's sunniest ski resort just a thirty minutes' drive from Granada. You can visit small mountain villages just like they were two hundred years ago at the Alpujarra. Sevilla and Córdoba two hours from Granada...

But the best thing one can do in Granada is stroll slowly along the jasmine scented narrow alleys of the Albayzín quarter and take a look at what it's said to be the most beautiful sunset in the world: the view from St. Nicholas' Square overlooking the Alhambra. You can also visit breathtaking monuments built by three ancient cultures (Jewish, Muslim and Christian) starring The Nasri Palaces of the Alhambra, or taste the typical cuisine left by this mixed and deep heritage, free "tapas" with your drinks...

Restábal surroundings also offer awesome landscapes and wonderful trails for walking, both easy accessible routes along orange, khaki, plum, avocado, lemon, almond... trees. But also, tough high mountain routes with all year long snow, the busy and cultural atmosphere of Granada at night, great marinas where you can sail, a natural marine park for diving, golf courses, water parks...

It is the perfect place for nature lovers, for people interested in a quiet, calm hideaway with a glass of wine by the pool, or for anyone looking for adventure and culture. And of course... why not a little of all that?
