We are looking for a (cross country) ski holiday just after Christmas. If possible - reachable by public transport in France, south of Germany or Austria.

Amsterdam City Centre - family residence in 17th century loft

WE ALREADY MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR SUMMER 2020. Always available to discuss weekends in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany or north of France.

You won’t get a more centrally located spot in Amsterdam than our place in a gorgeous 17th century loft. Dam square is around the corner and tram and metro stops are within a 3 min walking distance. One metro stop from the Central Station.

We occupy the two top floors of the building (stairs, no elevator). Four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a great roof terrace for a wonderful summer bbq. The apartment comfortably fits a family of 5 and with an extra mattress we can accomodate a 6th family member.

Our home is an excellent hub for getting to know the city of Amsterdam with all its cultural offerings - Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Modern Art Museum, etc. etc. - and its surroundings. Within a 30 min trainride you arrive on Zandvoort's beach, the beautiful city of Utrecht or the Zaanse Schans with its picturesque display of classic wooden houses. Within an hour you can visit The Hague, the modern architecture of Rotterdam, the windmills at Kinderdijk, take a ferry to one of the islands in the northern part of the country or visit the natural surroundings of the Oostvaardersplassen or High Park the Veluwe.

We have two cats and kindly ask you to feed them and clean their litter box. We love pets and are more than happy to take care of yours if needed.

About Our Family

Active family of 5 (3 kids, 9, 11 and 12 yrs old).

Lifestyle

We are an active family of 5 - we love our home in Amsterdam and its proximity to all the cultural sites Amsterdam has on offer. Because we live our day to day live in the innercity - we prefer to do our home exchanges in more quiet areas; at the seaside, in the mountains or in and around the woods. Yet - we are always interested in a city swap for shorter holidays (Berlin, Prague, Paris, Copenhague, etc.). We don't want to use air travel out of environmental concerns, so any offerings at more than an 8 hour drive are reserved for the longer summer holidays.
