Situated on a quiet street right in the town center of Angers, our house is within walking distance of museums, great shops, markets, cafés and awesome heritage sites. We have a car, and we are happy to share it. We have not got a garden attached to the house, but we have a plot of woodland twenty minutes away near a river surrounded by wineyards, where we have barbecues and where we camp. We also live litterally next to a magnificient park and there are several more a few streets away.
Angers is a magnificent city in the Loire Valley, surrounded by vineyards and châteaux.
There are fast trains to Paris several times a day (1h30) and Nantes (35mn), the train station is only minutes away on foot.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: NANTES - 40mn (train)

Our house is a cosy town centre house, extremely well placed and within walking distance of shops, museums, markets an public transport. Angers is a magnificent city in the middle of the Anjou vineyard and minutes away from the Loire valley and its châteaux. It is a very green place with lots of parks and beautifully preserved natural spaces for joggers and cyclists to enjoy. There is a most impressive and well preserved medieval castle where the Apocalypse Tapestry is displayed. It is a buzzing place with lots of free events, festivals and concerts happening especially in the summer. We have two cars, one is a small Clio and the other is an old nine-seater van. There is a very large theme park about botanics, "Terra Botanica", and many beautiful villages to explore around, either on the Loire river or up the rivers Maine and Sarthe. There are many walks or bicycle rides to be done here, most of them can be started straight from the house, without a car, as the river is only ten minutes away on foot. For those who fancy discovering the Anjou vineyard, there are bus day trips from the Tourist Office. At most vineyards you can just pop in and ask for a visit, they will let you taste their production and you can buy a bottle or two. The city of Saumur is only 45 mn away ( more wine (!), trogodytes, mushrooms).
