Historic house in NANTES, France
Our house is situated in a very quiet district (Sainte- Anne), near the city center of Nantes. Our house was built in 1910, it has the charm of this period with the modern comfort. Furthermore, we have a very quiet garden where it is possible to relax and to eat. In the house there are five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, an office, a veranda.
The district is famous as its sights on the Loire, its aspect of small village and its Jules Verne museum (Jules Verne was born and lived his youth in Nantes).
Nantes is a city of art and history. It is an harbour city in the estuary of the Loire, crossed by a lot of rivers. It has so many parks and gardens, what makes it pleasant and airy even during summer. It has a rich historical heritage (Castle, Cathedral, Mansions and buildings of XVIII and XIX, museums) but, it is also very dynamic on a cultural plan and all year round, take place there a lot of festivals famous in France. On summer, there are so many animations on the coast. In Nantes, you will find all the equipments of leisure activities and sports. There is also a very rich night-life (bars, restaurants, night-clubs, cinemas, shows.)
For 15 minutes from Nantes, we can have a walk (or rent boats, kayaks, etc.) along attractive rivers and in the vineyard of Nantes. The gastronomy of this region is famous.
For 30 minutes, is the Atlantic coast . You can find there small fishing ports, savage coast, sandy beaches (La Baule) , salterns and oysterbeds... On the coast, you van also find casinos, thalassotherapy centres, possibilities of multiple water sports.
For 1 hour , you can visit gulf of Morbihan in Brittany (on the west) with its very numerous islands.
Between two and three hours by car, there are le Mont St Michel, Saint Malo (in the north). In the east, by following the Loire, we can visit places of the history of France, notably the castles of the Loire (Chambord, Chenonceau, Azay le Rideau, Amboise...).
Nantes is approx. 3.5 Hours from Paris by car and 2 hours on the train.
