Large House with 4 double bedrooms in Kingston upon Thames, London, Great Britain

We are looking for an exchange for up to 2-3 weeks between 27 July and 18 August somewhere warm and sunny. Seaside would be lovely but not essential. We have the option of exchanging two cars with you.

House & Location

We live in a large 5 bedroom house (one room is used as a study) with garden. There are two king size beds and two single beds with pullout beds underneath, so can sleep 8 adults.

The train station for London is a short walk and has frequent train services to central London (25 mins). The train arrives at Waterloo station where you find the London Aquarium, London Eye, South Bank Arts Centre (theatres and concert halls), Imax Cinema or walk across the bridge for the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square & West End theatre & opera land. You can walk from Waterloo along the river to St Paul's Cathedral, Tate Modern, Globe Theatre. If you prefer you can also catch the underground at Waterloo. London has many  wonderful museums, galleries and activities and most museums are free.

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames

7 English kings were crowned in our local area and the coronation stone is still here. We live in the safest borough in London.
We are a 10 minute walk to Richmond Park which is excellent for walking and cycling and deer spotting and has a lovely cafe in a former royal hunting lodge with beautiful views. The River Thames and the town centre of Kingston are also about 10 mins walk. Hampton Court Palace, used by Henry 8th and Ham House (see photos of neighbourhood) are short boat, bus or cycle rides away.
There is a fantastic shopping centre 10" walk away with many department stores and designer boutiques, cafes, restaurants,multi-screen cinema, bowling, leisure centre, and the new Rose theatre.  There are weekday and Saturday markets. The area is a great mix of urban and outdoor pursuits.

Heathrow airport is about 40 mins by car or X26 express bus and Gatwick airport, 1 hour .  The ports of Dover, Newhaven, Portsmouth are within 2hrs  and connect with ports in France & Belgium.

Our house has 3 floors. The top floor has 2 bedrooms with a shower and toilet. The middle floor has two bedrooms (one with a tv and blu-ray player, en suite shower and sink) an office and a bathroom with toilet. Two of the bedrooms have a second single bed which pulls out from under the bed. The ground floor has a living room (satellite Tv, , XBox one live, Bluray player); a middle reception room with 2 computers (free internet & wifi) and a zeppelin air for music and a large kitchen/ dining room. We have a back garden with patio and outdoor furniture and a barbecue.

We have 2 cars, a Vauxhall (Opel) Zafira which has 7 seats and a Hyundai i10. We are prepared to exchange cars providing the insurance will cover the new drivers. We also have 4 cycles with locks which are very useful for getting to the parks and the river.
