Flat for up to 8 people in Vienna and 200 years old countryhouse with pool and sheep for 10+ people in southern Burgenland. Also non-simultaneous exchange possible.

Hello, dear Intervac-friends!

I am Susanne and I am living with 1 of my daughters in a 100m2-flat in the 14th district of Vienna, near Schönbrunn. This is the western (=nicest ;-)) part of Vienna and the surroundings are quiet and green, you can even walk by foot to the Wienerwald (Vienna´s forest). Nevertheless you can easily and within 20 min. reach the Inner City by car (just straight ahead), by bus or by underground.
You could also use our big house in the countryside (1 1/2 hours away), in the southern part of Austria, near the hungarian border, in Markt Neuhodis, near Rechnitz. It is 200 years old and has got antique and creative atmosphere, the garden is 4000 m2.There you have got a lot of space, sheep, a pool and a sculpturepark as a neighbour. (Please have a look on the pictures!) In Burgenland you need a car to get around.

We have already exchanged about 15 times and our Intervac-partners always liked the place. (By the way, I met some of my exchange-partners and they were all exceptionally nice people - I think, people who exchange their homes are very open-minded, trustful and positive - we Intervacs are special!! :-)  I love exchanging, I find it adventurous and you get a special, near feeling of the country. We have been in Great Britain, and several times in Italy, France, Spain and Switzerland.

Regarding pets: We have got 2 cats at home, but they will not be in Vienna, when you are here, they spend their time in Burgenland, where they use a cat-door to enter the house. It would be nice, if you would feed them. On the other hand, if you have any pets to be looked after, we will be happy to do so! (The sheep are cared for by the neighbour)

Thanks for all your nice offers!

All the best
Susanne

About Our Family

Hello, dear Intervac-partners!

We have got a flat in Vienna (quite large for Vienna´s standards), where I live with my youngest daughter (23) during the week, when I am working as a teacher. On the weekends and during school-holidays I live in the countryside in Burgenland. There I spend most of my time doing the garden, growing vegetables, renovating the house and so on. So - life is never boring for me ;-)
My 4 daughters are all living in Vienna, working or studying. Most of them will not come with me, when we do an exchange, we would probably be only 2 people.
We are a quite easy-going family, we all love to laugh and explore new surroundings, countries, cultures.... Respect (regarding attitudes, persons, their belongings, culture etc.) is important for us.
