House by the sea
Please feel welcome in Middelkerke City!
Our house is located at the end of a quiet street. You will enjoy the peace but also benefit from having everything you need closeby. Our place is perfect if you are looking for a beach holiday, visiting the romantic city of Bruges, or visiting our lovely country Belgium. Staying in our place has a lot to offer for all ages.
We enjoy the beach the most in the winter, because of the beautiful sights and the peace and quiet. In the summer we enjoy jumping in the sea, catching schrimps or shelfs, jumping over the waves, building sandcastles, enjoying a cocktail at the beach bar, eveningswalks by the sea, etc.
The beach is at 500m, the shops are at 500m, bigger shops at around 1 à 2 km. There are allways plenty of activities in Middelkerke. Ostend and Newport are very pretty and accesible from Middelkerke by car or tram. Actually you can reach the whole coastline by tram. From Ostend you can reach the romantic city of Bruges, Gent, Brussels or Antwerp easily by train. The airport from Ostend is very closeby (15min drive), but Brussels has a good train connection with Ostend (1h15min). We have very friendly (elderly) neighbours, family living in the same town and friends who own a local hotel with restaurant who can help you if needed.
The house has every basic need or appliance, to enjoy your holiday to the fullest.
Joke (the mother) has done Intervac her whole life (about 30 times). We have done it twice since we have are own family now.
We will set you up with tons of brochures for things to do (sports, culture, sightseeing, historic buildings, hiking or biking routes, etc). You will have the time of your life, we are sure!

We are four persons in our family. Kevin (the father), born in 1986 is a plumber. Joke (the mother), born in 1984 is occupational therapist and then there is our little angel Emma who was born in 2016 and her little baby sister who was born in 2018.
One of our favorite things is travelling/exploring! So home exchanging is something we really enjoy doing.
We think it is a very fun way of travelling, where you learn more about the city or country then when you go to a hotel for example.
