Downtown Montreal is a beautiful blend of old and new with historic buildings leaning shoulder to shoulder with modern highrises. During summer, people love to stroll along the old port or catch a breathtaking view of the city from the parks on Mount Royal (see the skyline picture and the picture of Old Montreal)

We live on the South Shore of Montreal in a town called Brossard, only 15 minutes from downtown Montreal. We are only minutes away from fashionable shopping and eating (quartier DIX30 - The acceptable "normal" picture), close to grocery shopping, close to public transportation which will take you downtown in less than 15 minutes (or just take the car).

We are close to nature with multiple national parcs at less than an hours drive, only 275km from historic Quebec City, and about a 6 hour drive from world famous Niagara Falls. We are only half an hour away from New York state border, 2 hours from beautiful Vermont. The picture of the lake is taken from the top of Owls Head Mountain, only 10 minutes from our cottage.

Montreal has a unique blend of North-American style comfort and European quaintness, accentuated by the bilingual city (English and French).

About Our Family

We have a family of 5. Marc (46), Dutch-Canadian, is an IT Director at Cirque du Soleil. Annabelle (4), Canadian, is an Industrial sychologist at a Consulting firm. Our children are Christopher and David (twins, 14) and Nicolas (14). We are experienced exchangers. We emigrated to Canada in 2002.
We are all open to exchange poroposals for Xmas/New Years 2017-2018 (we would like to go skiiing in the French, Italian or Swiss Alps) and for summer 2018 (three weeks in any European country). We are also open to proposals for long or short -weekends year round.
We love outdoor sports, traveling, music, good food, reading, and discovering cultures new to us, or revisting cultures we already know. We have one cat "Chief" who is not hard to take care of (but if you prefer we can make other arrangements).

We believe in the mutual respect and trust home exchanging is based on, and as such will treat your home like we would expect you to treat ours.
