Unavailable for exchange at the moment

The member has not specified any exchange dates

We are looking for an exchange in 2018. May or June is fine, as is the fall. As we are retired, we can exchange at anytime.

Our house is about 30 years old with 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, central air conditioning and all appliances. At the rear of the house is a sunroom which opens onto a secluded garden with a fish pond and a covered patio with gas barbeque. Our neighbours are  are most helpful and have enjoyed getting to know our exchange guests. We love our home and would take great care of yours.  Older children would be welcome.
We had a wonderful exchange in 2016 and our exchange partner will provide  references for us.
We have listed the countries we are most interested in visiting, but we are also open to other offers. Our main areas of preference are Southern England, Brittany, Amsterdam area, Stockholm and Reykjavik
We have done over 30 exchanges.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Toronto -

London is a city of 400 000 with a university, many restaurants, movie theatres, shopping facilities, parks and golf courses. A major regional shopping mall is just 1 km from our house.
Attractions in our area include Stratford (30 minutes), famous for its summer theatre season and the Kitchener- Waterloo region with its Old Order Mennonites and Farmers' Markets.
Niagara Falls and the border with the USA can be reached in 2 hours while Toronto is also about 2 hours by car or train. Toronto has the CN Tower, Ontario Place, the Science Centre, a large zoo, a theme park called Canada's Wonderland and interesting ethnic areas, museums, art galleries and theatres.
Montreal and the French speaking province of Quebec, Ottawa, Washington D.C. and New York City  can be reached  within a day's drive.
The beaches of Lake Erie (1 hour) and lake Huron (1 1/2 hours) are pleasant for swimming and camping. Further north there are large areas of lakes and forests, especially Algonquin Park. Our exchange guests have enjoyed renting canoes and seeing moose - and maybe even a bear!

Lifestyle

As we are retired our time is flexible.  However, we would prefer an exchanged in the Spring or Fall, rather than July or August, if possible. Our car, an automatic, air-conditioned  Honda Civic is available for exchange. We have participated in over 20 wonderful exchanges and hope to do many more.
