Visit Edinburgh, Glasgow and Highlands of Scotland.

Our home is clean, bright and comfortable with central heating and a garden. On the ground floor there is a large hallway, sunny living room, a large kitchen/dining/sitting room, utility room and shower room.

On the first floor the main bedroom has a king sized bed, our son Jack's room has a single bed with another pull out single bed underneath and our daughter Kate's bedroom has a double bed. There is a large family room, with a double wallbed, keyboard, guitars, games, books and a television for watching DVD's. There is a bathroom with a separate bath and shower.

There are lots of toys available e.g. lego, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and Wii. We have fast Wi-Fi for our use. We live in a quiet street in the village of Larbert with good neighbours and several young families. There is a supermarket, butcher, baker and grocer just 15 minutes walk away. In nearby Falkirk there is a cinema, leisure pool and high street shops and restaurants. There is also Callendar Park with boating pond, play park and museum.

The train station is 5 minutes walk from our house and there are good rail and road links to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and the North. We are 45 minutes drive from Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Find out more at http://www.visitscotland.com/guide/

We can leave everything you need for camping, tent, sleeping bags, stoves, etc. if you like camping.

We have had very successful exchanges to Spain, Denmark, Paris, Sweden, Italy and Ireland. All our guests have enjoyed staying here and have used it as a base for exploring Scotland. We have organised lots of information on local sites for our visitors but if you have a particular interest let us know and we will research it locally for you.

About Our Family

We have a Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and a Wii in the living room with a good selection of games and also a lot of DVDs for both children and adults.
There is an electric piano and electric and acoustic guitars in the family room along with lots of board games, jigsaws and books, and a television for watching DVD's.
We have two cats called Wallace and Cole. They like to wander around the neighbourhood and have a cat flap so they can come and go as they please. If you would rather not let them have the run of the house you can shut them in the kitchen. We can arrange for them to be fed if you are away overnight, or for a few days travelling.

Lifestyle

We have two cars, a Skoda Octavia Estate that can comfortably carry five people and lots of luggage and a Mini Cooper. We can insure either or both for your visit.

We have three adult and two childrens bikes and could probably arrange to borrow more if you needed them. There is a canal nearby for boat trips, walking and cycling.  If you like to play golf there are lots of courses around and most are quite inexpensive to play on. We can supply more details.

Enjoy the culture and shopping in the cities of Edinburgh (45 minutes by train), Glasgow (30 minutes by train) and Stirling (10 minutes by train) or explore Loch Lomond and the mountains and forests of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park (under 1 hour by car), the beaches of East Lothian (under 1 hour by car), or 1 of the 100+ distilleries open to the public (many under 1 hours drive).

There's loads to do and lots of places to visit from our centrally located house!
