House in the charming village of Landsmeer, close to the great city of Amsterdam (Netherlands) :-)

Hello dear Intervac friends :-)

We (Ynze, Heleen and Aron) live in the village of Landsmeer. Here you can experience the joy of living in a village near the great city of Amsterdam :-)!

We love to be in nature (walking / biking) and looking for a quiet surrounding to stay, especially holidays for a longer period. But it would be nice if there are interesting cities/villages in the neighbourhood… :-)

For us the most convenient way to travel is by car, but depending on the destination it might me easier to do it otherwise. Exchanging cars will then be an option (we have a Renault Megane).

Landsmeer is situated on a 20/25 min. bike ride to the centre of Amsterdam or 15-20 min. by bus or car. But it’s also close to the beautiful (recreation) area of Het Twiske / Waterland, with lots of possibilities for biking, walking, swimming and playing grounds for children!
And don’t forget to visit ‘De Zaanse Schans’, Volendam, Edam, all kinds of wonderful little villages and the lovely coast… almost around the corner.

Our home (135 m2):
• On the ground floor of our 3 storey house is the entry with toilet, living/kitchen with sitting area directly to the garden. In the livingroom a fireplace for colder days ;-)
• First floor there is a study/bedroom, bathroom with bath and extra shower, toilet and 2nd bedroom (with 1 double bed/futon and 1 single bed)
• Second floor large bedroom (1 double bed), crib (also an extra cot possible), washing machine and another room which is used as a practice space

Nice things to see or do (just outside Landsmeer):

AMSTERDAM :-)! Here some info what to do and see…: http://www.iamsterdam.com/en-GB/Experience

Het Twiske is a recreation area. It starts at the other side of the village. It’s nice for walking, cycling or swimming. It has also adventure areas for children.

Bezoekerscentrum Ilperveld. Center where you can visit the wetlands typical for this area (4,5 km)

The Zaanse Schans is a delightful village on the banks of the river Zaan with characteristic green wooden houses, charming stylized gardens, small hump-backed bridges, tradesmen's workshops and historic windmills. (www.zaanseschans.nl)

Steam tram Hoorn – Medemblik and boat Medemblik - Enkhuizen (http://www.museumstoomtram.nl/en)

Very nice with children... Sprookjeswonderland in Enkhuizen!

Other Interesting and historical towns:
- Haarlem - 26 km
- Alkmaar (cheese market) - 35 km
- Hoorn - 36 km
- Utrecht - 48 km
- Leiden - 50 km
- 's-Gravenhage (The Hague) - 66 km
- Rotterdam - 80 km
- ... and much more ;-)
