Apartment with great view in the centre of Amsterdam, Netherlands
Our apartment in Amsterdam has a nice and light living room and 2 big bedrooms with a superb view over the city. It is suitable for 7 people to sleep comfortably. A double bed in one bedroom and a bunkbed for 3 persons in the other bedroom (2 persons downstairs and 1 upstairs) . In the living room there’s a sleeping coach with futon matrass for 2 persons.
It’s location is perfect. In a quiet area in the centre on one of the main canals (the end of the Prinsengracht), near the Central Station and near the Anna Frank house. In 1 minute you are in the best part of Amsterdam, the Jordaan, with 200 small shops, many restaurants and the most beautiful Art Deco Movie theater in the world.
Tram nr. 3 will bring you (in 10 minutes) directly to the Rijks-, van Gogh, Modern-art museums and the famous Concertgebouw.
The apartment has all the equipments you need, including a dishwasher, a washingmachine, a dryer, free Wifi and Apple-tv with Netflix. In the boxroom downstairs there’re 3 bikes you can use to explore Amsterdam.
Nearby the apartment you can rent a boat to sail over the canals. For the little ones there is 100m from the apartment a small petting zoo (childrens farm with goats, pigs and rabbits) and many playgrounds for free.
We have lived here for many years with great pleasure. It is a quiet area, no cars are allowed. The apartment is small but very light, cheerful, convenient and pleasurable.
We have been exchanging houses 25 times now and everybody loved the house and it's location.
December/January 2010 we echanged with an Italian family from Rome (Alberto Atzori, IT09932): “It's been a very pleasant stay to us, both when we were strolling down A'dam streets and when we took a relaxing time at home there. We keep in our minds the beautiful view of frozen channels and falling snow, and we enjoyed quiet nights, fascinating architectures, good cooking and very kind people".
August 2015 we exchanged with a lovely french Family (FR110601). “"Hello dear family! We thank you again for this exchange, which was really a good experience for our family. We have a lot of souvenirs in our mind, lot of things to tell to our friends and family. Here, we have great times: quiet on the balcony, walks on the streets, fun on playgrounds, swimming in westerpark, shopping...We love this way of life!”
We also have a big house in the centre of Rotterdam. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 cats and a nice garden, near the Central Station, opposite a public swimming pool, very near a fantastic Zoo, in a quiet street.
