|April 01, 2020 - November 01, 2020||2 weeks|
We arranged our holidays for 2019. We are op for exchanges in 2020.
Comfortable house in Exloo to relax and be active, for nature, culture and dining.
"Dwarfland" mini-zoo and playground; sheep herd with shepherd; (warm water) open air swimming pool; passage graves of the Stone Age; 5 restaurants in Exloo (Dutch, Indonesian and Italian food), utility-shops and a car-service station.
In the near region, within 5-30 minutes:
A lot of restaurants within (also Indian, Chinese, Italian, etc.), Groningen Airport; a lot of theme-museums; lake beach; Zoo Emmen; museum village Orvelte; treetop bridge; indoor playgrounds; GP motor- and car- race circuit Assen; sculpture parks, art shops and galleries; the modern museums of Assen and Groningen.
Our house has two stories, a cellar and an attic. We have a kitchen with all appliancies, a practical washing-room and a cosy light living room. At the first floor there are 2 bedrooms with two double beds, a study and the bathroom with shower. The large veranda is a lovely place to sit on chilly days.
The house is situated on a big lot of ground with a pretty front yard and a nice large garden with a garage/carport. At the backside we are overlooking a nice characteristic open area with some cows, horses and sheep.
TO DO AND TO SEE
Exloo is a famous village for tourists from all parts of the Netherlands and Germany. People come for walking, hiking and biking on the intensive structure of paths and special biking roads, and have a drink or diner after that. We have several landscapes: large woods (pine, oak, etc.), heaths and former moors.
The province of Drenthe is known as a superb place to be, we have a lot of attractions and things to see. But we also have many quiet places (some of them national parks), where sometimes cars cannot come and where you can bike between sheep or cows.
Travelling can be done by bus (each hour to Emmen and Groningen), but you also can take the bike to Odoorn, Borger, etc. or to take the car. If you would like to visit e.g. Utrecht, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and/or The Hague you can take the train at the railwaystation of Emmen or Assen or you can make an easy (about) two hours trip by car.
Within half an hour you can pass the border of Germany. There are a lot of nice (some medieval) towns and a many attractions.
We had or planned exchanges in Canada, USA (Texas), Sweden, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain; most countries more than one time. This year we will have exchanges in The Netherlands and Kent (UK).
We are flexible in length and period. We will consider each offer.
