Flat in Amsterdam, Netherlands

We actually have two apartments in the same (anno 1881) building: one located on the first floor, and the other on the third and fourth floor, which is the one we're living in.
This makes also non-simultaneous exchanges possible.
The apartment on the first floor (last five pictures) has a large living room, one sleeping room, a fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom (with shower) and a balcony with south-eastern exposure.
It accommodates up to five people, divided between a double bed, a double bed sofa and one bedcouch. We can provide for babycot and baby equipment as well.
The apartment on the third floor (first seven pictures) has a very large living room, open kitchen and a wc. From the kitchen you can access the balcony, also with south-eastern exposure.
On the fourth floor there are two bedrooms (one with double bed and babycot and one with a bunk bed), a bathroom and another separate wc (with sink).
From our bedroom you can enjoy a wonderful wiew of the historical center, with the beautiful Westertoren as biggest eye-catcher.

Our Neighbourhood

Our apartment is situated in one of the most comfortable and 'strategical' areas of Amsterdam, just a few meters outside the historical center. This means combining tranquillity with a very central position. Practically everything in this town is within walking or -even faster- biking distance from our home.
The trendy Jordaan district, with its markets, small shops, bars and restaurants is just over the bridge, and major tourist attractions like the Westerkerk, the Canal Belt and Dam square are just a few minutes walk in eastern direction.
And the same goes for legendary live music venues like Maloe Melo, Melkweg, Sugar Factory and Paradiso, all stretching along the same street passing just next to our place and ending up in the lively Lieidseplein.
The Museumplein, with its famous Rijksmuseum (masterpieces), Van Gogh museum and Stedelijk (modern and contemporary art) is easily reachable via tram, bike or, if you fancy, 20 min. walk in southern direction.
Another great place, this time heading northbound, is the Cultuurpark Westergasfabriek, a nice and very child friendly park around a beautiful former nineteenth century's industrial settlement recently turned into a complex of music venues, exhibition areas, bars, restaurants and cinema.
