About Our Family
We are a middle aged couple who have done more than 50 various types of exchanges since 2002 and more to come. Sometimes the mrs travel on her own, occasionally the husband joins; he is a bit picky when it comes to destinations and in summer he prefers to stay in Norway. In summer holidays we sometimes travel with our daughter and her fiancé.
Cooking is one of your passions and we cook even on holiday. A well equipped kitchen, preferably with a dishwasher is a real bonus.
Summer exchanges preferably to not so hot places like UK, North of France, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Germany etc. And we all suffer from hay fever, so a rural setting in the middle of the fields is a bit of a no-no in pollen season, sorry.
We sometimes have a cat - a very friendly male called Grisou. We are all cat lovers and happy to look after them.
We have been exchanging homes since 2002 to France (Toulon, Gruissan *2, Cap Ferret, Libourne, Nantes,Trebeurden, Caen, Paris *4, Carpentras, St. Jean de Luz), Spain (Zaragoza, Almeria, Barcelona *3, Costa Brava (Blanes), Valencia, Sevilla, Costa Azahar, Delta d'Ebro), Norway (Bergen), Italy (Rome, Liguria), Ireland, UK (London*2, Edinburgh, Worcester, Faversham), Austria (Vienna *2), Belgium (Liège), Portugal (Alentejo, Lisbon region),Iceland*2 (Reykjavik).Poland (Kraków),The Netherlands (Haarlem)
Please do not hesitate to make contact for further info.
We are open to most exchange offers in Europe, even to those places already visited and happy to look after your cat and your garden (we love both).
There are two properties on offer - our top floor 2 bedroom apartment in Bergen, Norway (sleeps 3), and our winter seaside residence in Gruissan, southern France (sleeps 4). We can also host you in our North-Norway home.
Also open to non-simultaneous exchanges and we are happy to exchange with holiday homes/second homes as long as they are comfortable and well equipped.
We sometimes need house-/catsitters.
We divide our time between North Norway and the south of France and exchanges inbetween. Our main home is in Norway and our winter residence in the Languedoc. We also have a small flat in Bergen, Norway where we occasionally spend a week or three.
We like to travel and explore new places and both cities, towns, villages and rural locations would interest us.
An active holiday with access to walking/hiking and/or cycling possibilities is always a bonus. We are cat lovers, a cat would be a bonus too :)) The Mrs. is a keen gardener, so always happy to look after a garden and/or house plants.
