House by the sea - explore the south of Sweden and Copenhagen!

Our home is situated 150 metres from the beach in a small village by the sea, with very nice surroundings. Staying here you can explore both the south of Sweden and Copenhagen, many exiting sights just within an hour drive. When just wanting to relax, you are also in the wright spot.

We have a charming house with a lovely garden, including a small “herberie” where you can pick what you need for your cooking. Normally there is also raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb, potatoes and other delicious berries or vegetables to pick. Our garden faces a meadow which takes you down to the beach. Here you can enjoy lazy days, taking a walk to the harbor close by, watching the sailboats coming in, eating icecream or watching the sunset with a fulfilling sense of beauty and freedom.

The region where we live is called Skåne, the very south of Sweden. Our area Söderslätt is a combination of beautiful seashores (with easy access), old fishing villages and rich, rolling farmfields. Söderslätt is known for the “good life in the countryside”, meaning mouthwatering restaurants, charming farmshops, local produce, interior design, galleries, handycraft, vineyards that are pioneers of winemaking in Sweden and most of all welcoming warm people, that will help you find your way around.

The house is very well equipped, lots of daylight and has an airy feeling. It has three bedrooms with comfortable beds, a livingroom, tv-room, two bathrooms, an office and a large kitchen. We have wireless internet in the house and a "guest-computer" which is free for you to use. When exploring the neighbourhood, going to a restaurants or going for a picnic, it’s easy and secure to go by bike here.

Only 40 km's away you have the nice, trendy city of Malmö, where you f ex should visit the oldtown and Västra Hamnen with the famous building "Turning Torso", designed by Santiago Calatravas. On a rainy day you can go shopping at the spectacular shoppingmall called "Emporia", rewarded the best shoppingmall in Europe 2013. There is excellent train connections from Trelleborg and you reach Malmö in 30 minutes.

The wonderful Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark is only 60 km's away. You can drive over the bridge "Öresundsbron" or go by train.

Only 1 hour drive away, you can visit "Skånes Djurpark" - the zoo of Nordic animals, where you among 75 different species can see mooses/elks, foxes and bears.

25 minutes away you can visit a Viking town that takes you back in history, it is called the Museum of Foteviken.

Within approximately one hour you also reach the nice towns of Lund and Helsingborg. In Helsingborg you can take a ferry over to the danish, charming town of Helsingör. North of Helsingborg you have the small summercastle, Sofiero, which in the old days where used by the royal family. Sofiero has a marvellous park, that you should visit.

If you are a golfer, you have more than 50 golfcourses just in Skåne, many of the very good ones, close by.

Our Neighbourhood

It is very easy and secure to go biking here, also with children. There is a great bike path from us, along the south coast, all the way to a charming town called Ystad. There are distances where you almost bike out in the sea, you are that close, so you can imagine how beautiful it is.

In Sweden we have a unique law, which is very good if you want to enjoy our beautiful nature. It is called "The right of public access"- which give you the right to roam freely in the countryside. When you are here, take the chance to explore the nature!

If you want to explore the nature with a little organised help, you could start with: Falsterbo Strandbads naturum, Christinehofs Ekopark or Kullabygdens Naturreservat. If you like hiking, we have great hiking-trails all around Skåne.
