Close to bath and hiking, not far from shoping. Perfect for gardenenthusiasts.

We wish to go to UK in Summer 2014. Open for exchange at Christmas /New year in Stockholm, Göteborg and Denmark. BUT OPEN FOR ALL SUGGESTIONS :)

Welcome to our six room house, built in 1947, though recently restored. The house is surrounded by a spacious garden. We have two bedrooms and a bathroom on second floor and a bedrooom, bathroom, kitchen, livingrooom and a computer room on the first floor. And a music room on the basement.
In summertime you may sit on the 15 m2 balcony or in the lush part in the backyard. There are also lots of space for children to play.
During summer the temperature is  15-30 degrees Celsius, during winter between +10 and -10.

BATH and HIKING
Only 700 meters from our house is a very nice lake - Möckeln. Perfect for bathing. You can also rent a canoe for some hours or days. Due to Swedish law you may hike and tent almost everywhere for free, and pick berries.
Close to Älmhult are five moose-safaries where you even may pet and feed the animals.

FLOWERS
the King of Flowers, Carl von Linné (Linneaus) was born in the neighborhood in the eighteenth Century. You may visit his house and see some rare flowers. Nearby is also Nelson Garden lokated having a showgarden for all their flowers.

IKEA
The founder of IKEA, Ingvar Kamprad was born here and lives here.

GLASS
About an hour by car takes you to the glas-center of Sweden. Names like KOSTA, SKRUF and other are welknown all over the World for its nice handmade glass.

SHOPPING
Despite its moderate size, Älmhult has some of Swedens main cloth-chain-shops. Downtown has picturescue boutiqes and uptown has a new shoppingcenter with (of course) IKEA.
For further shoping we use to go to Växjö or Malmö. Malmö is the third city of Sweden. It takes 1h 15min by train (15 euro).

DENMARK
Denmark is not far. We use to fly from Copenhagen, and can leave our car there for you to use. It takes about two hours by car and train. (20 euro by train).

LOVE COOKIES?
Another of our favourites is to go to the Nationalpark Stenshuvud. You could first climb the hill and enjoy a fantastic view over the sea. Afterwards you can go to Café Annorlunda closeby, who has a cookiebuffé. You pay about 8 euro and can eat as many cookies and buns you can cope. Homepage for the cafe is: http://www.kaffestuganannorlunda.se/vi-erbjuder
