Köping is a beautiful small town. Within the distance of 40-60 km you´ll find three larger cities: Västerås, Eskilstuna and Örebro .Köping is situated on the westernmost shores of Lake Mälaren in central Sweden, 140 km west of Stockholm. Close to several international airports – Västerås 40 km, Örebro 60 km and Arlanda 140 km.

Lake Mälaren was open to the Baltic see 1000 years ago and was an important through fare for the Vikings. There are still remains from the Vikings in the area. In the region there are also several nice castles you can visit. Most of them are open to public. Tiveden National Park is only two hours drive away. It is very beautiful.
