Our home will be available for a three week non-simultaneous exchange from August 26 through September 17.

Sunny 2 bedroom home with sweeping views in Ashland Oregon

Our lovely craftsman-style home is tucked in a private corner of a desirable Ashland neighborhood right next to a creek. Facing North Mountain Park, it offers expansive views of the mountains of Southern Oregon. Large windows and skylights, beautiful sunsets from a large backyard deck. Recently remodeled living room with soaring fireplace and cozy loft. Gourmet kitchen featuring stainless appliances, quartz countertops and bamboo cabinetry. Master bedroom has a queen-sized bed with BeautyRest mattress, balcony and views of grazing cattle and vineyards in the distance. Onsuite master bath with tub, two sinks and shower.

Guest bedroom also has a queen bed with access to second bath with shower. Two offices with high-speed internet. TV area offers both Netflix and Amazon Prime streaming movies. Two-car garage with a workshop, two bikes and a Toyota Tacoma for your local use. Pick fresh tomatoes, zuchinni and basil for pasta from our raised-bed organic garden.

Walk or ride bikes to the community natural foods market and hardware store. Experience world famous plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Dine at dozens of excellent nearby restaurants and enjoy shopping in beautiful downtown Ashland.

Raft the wild and scenic Rogue River, visit Crater Lake and Lake of the Woods, go winetasting at numerous award-winning wineries or travel along the breathtaking Oregon Coast. We explored the Western United States for four months looking for the best small town to retire in. We chose this house in this town. We'd love to share it with you!

Nearest Airport: Medford (MFR) - 25 minutes

Our part of town is called Ashland Village, with a mix of retired and young middle income families. It's one of the nicest neighborhoods in what Vogue Magazine calls "The Most Charming Town in Oregon".

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival draws thousands to its plays in its historic theaters from February to November. Downtown Ashland is a shopper's delight, with eclectic clothing, home decor, travel, record shops, and several stylish women's shoe stores. Excellent restaurants, breweries and coffee shops line Ashland's quaint streets. Lithia Park, following Ashland Creek to downtown was designed by the landscape architect of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. It has neen named one of 10 Great Public Spaces in America.

We're 15 minutes from Immigrant Lake, a lovely recreation area with picnicing, kayaking, boating, camping and a water slide for kids. Within an hour are several lovely mountain lakes including Lake of the Woods, Hyatt Lake, Willow Lake, Howard Prarie, just to name a few. Head North a bit for the Wild and Scenic Rogue River, named one of the 52 Best Places to Travel by the New York Times.

World Famous Crater Lake makes for a terrific day trip, and the spectacular Oregon Coast can be reached just a couple hours West. Mount Ashland ski area (at 6,000 ft.) is a half-hour away with great hiking and mountain biking trails. The famed Pacific Coast Trail is close enough that Ashland is a regular stop for hikers doing the Mexico to Canada trek.

Ashland is Wine Country, with dozens of wineries offering daily tastings. Nearby favorites, Irvine and Roberts and Dancin' Vineyards feature excellent Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs.

Historic Jacksonville with its cute downtown and exciting Britt Festival hosting nationally know performing artists, is just 40 minutes away through vineyards and pear orchards.

Ashland is just 20 minutes from the Medford Airport, with jet service to Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and beyond, by Alaska, American, Alegiant and United Airlines.

Oregon's dramatic Pacific coast with miles of beautiful beaches is a morning drive away.
