1 story house in Eastham, USA
Our comfortable, recently renovated vacation home is privately situated on a generous lot amongst old growth pine and oak on a quiet residential road. It is a 10 minute walk to serene neighborhood bayside beaches, and 1km from National Seashore ocean beaches that extend for many miles - see the map below. The 100 m2 home was renovated in 2005, but still maintains the desirable Cape Cod cottage charm. The kitchen is modern with new appliances and is fully equipped, including lobster pots and steamers for the local catch. There is also a diswasher in the kitchen. The living area is a combined living room with pine flooring, area carpeting and comfortable leather furniture, and dining room. There are two nicely appointed bedrooms and a small renovated bath. We list the house as sleeping 6, although there are only two bedrooms and beds. We have a generous inflatable mattress that can be used in the living room if so desired. The house is very well insulated and has central heat with a complementary wood pellet stove in the living area for ambience. Ceiling fans provide necessary cooling and AC is not required even in the summer months as ocean breezes provide natural comfort. The living area has a 55" HD television with surround theatre sound and HD DVD player. Satellite radio, high speed internet connection, computer, printer and wifi are included. There is a walk-out brick patio off the kitchen covered by a newly constructed pergola, with table, chairs, a picnic table, grills and smoker where we enjoy most of our summer meals. There is also an outdoor fireplace for evening fires and family get togethers, and a spa for unwinding at the end of the day. The large, wooded fenced yard affords an abundance of privacy. There are complete laundry facilities - modern washer and dryer - in the basement. There is an outdoor shower for your convenience when returning from the neighborhood beaches.

Our Neighbourhood

Cape Cod is famous for its beautiful beaches, picturesque harbors, and exceptional seafood. It is never difficult to find a quiet private section of Cape Cod beach to call your own. Additionally we are a 5 minute walk from two beautiful fresh water beaches on a typical Cape Cod kettle pond.
Nearby activiities other than beaches include kayaking (we can provide), bicycling as we have multiple bicycles available and we live just minutes from the bicycle trail that traverses the entire outer Cape, surfing, charter boat fishing from local harbors or from shore (we can provide fishing tackle), whale watch excursions, dig your own clams, boat rentals, and many other activities.
We also own a fishing boat, and although we cannot provide the boat we are more than happy to arrange a day on the water during your stay to fish and explore some of the more remote beaches as a hospitality to our guests, weather and time permitting.
In addition to the spectacular outdoor activities we are just minutes away from many fine seafood restaurants, where fresh means caught that morning. Cape Cod fried clams, and Wellfleet oysters are world famous. In addition there are many other restaurants that reflect the broad local ethnic diversity. There are nearby museums (whaling, pirate, seafaring history), great local theatre (WHAT/Orleans/Provincetown), local entertainment, shopping, and other amenities too numerous to mention.
Note that we do not travel abroad with our dogs seen in the attached pictures, and do not require pet accommodations.
Pictures include:

NOTE: The green area on the map below indicates National Seashore land to which you will have complete access. This land is a US, nationally administered park. This land is protected and maintained by the US government as a park and provides many square miles of land and many miles of pristine beach and other recreational opprtunities for the enjoyment of Cape Cod residents and visitors. http://www.nps.gov/caco/index.htm
