A comfortable home in South East Queensland, Australia.
Our house is located in the hinterland behind the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Its a few hundred metres walk to the cafes, bar & grill, post office and shops of the quaint village of Montville. The village has an elevation of approximately 400m above sea level, this provides some wonderful views from the village over the Pacific Ocean, its coastlines and towns. A hire car is recommended, as public transport in the mountains is limited, it is a 30 minute drive to the beach and city of Maroochydore, Brisbane airport is 1 hour and 30 minutes by road. Walking tracks are plentiful in the Blackall Range with the popular Kondalilla Falls and Lake Baroon Pocket Dam are nearby. The mountain villages of Mapleton & Maleny are 15 minutes in either direction with Mapleton National Park & the Glasshouse Mountains as highlights.

Our Neighbourhood
Nearest Airport: Maroochydore - 30 kms
The Blackall mountains were a rich source of timber during the previous two centuries, following stoppage of timber getting the areas have converted to tourism and dairy farms. Development is limited due to the steep terrain and lack of industry for employment, this has allowed the villages to maintain their century old charm and casual atmosphere.
