Our Neighbourhood
Nearest Airport: Victoria International Airport (YYJ) - 25 km
We live in the the Gorge Tillicum area of Greater Victoria. We are 5 km (10 minutes by car, 20 minutes by bicycle, 25 minutes by bus) from the centre of Victoria, Our neighbourhood is bordered by the Gorge Waterway (1/2 block away), a saltwater gorge that extends from the Inner Harbour of Victoria and is used by many paddleboarders, kayakers, rowers and swimmers. A number of parks and community gardens within 5-10 minutes walk, and 1/2 block from transit to downtown Victoria and on to the University of Victoria. Shopping amenities for groceries, pharmacies, petrol and liquor are a 10 minute walk away in any direction. A neighbourhood filled with young families, retired couples and grandparents, and eagles, owls, herons, crows and songbirds. Two minutes from highway access to explore Vancouver Island, and 30 minutes from both Victoria International Airport and the ferry to Vancouver.
