Our home is situated on the top of a hill, surrounded by forest, with a view to a lake. We have a nice garden and a terrace protected from the wind. Even though we live in a neighbourhood we feel like we live in the middle of the forest. We live in the beautiful island of Stord, situated in the middle of the west coast of Norway. The island is called "Norway in a nut shell", because of the variation of landscapes. Here we have mountains, fjords, forest and fields. Ten minutes from our house there is a charming coust town of Leirvik, where you find a selection of restaurants, art galleries, shopping malls, a museum, cinema and swimming pool. From Stord you can reach the cities of Bergen and Stavanger in ca. two hours. The Hardangerfjord is also easily acceccible by taking a ferry from Stord.
