House in Vänersnäs, Sweden
We live in a one-family house.
On the first floor there is a large hallway, a living-room with a piano, a bedroom and kitchen, and a small toilet. On the second floor there are three bedrooms, a large hallway and a bathroom. The washing-machine is in the basement.
The garden is large, 3100 square meters, with lots of fruit trees and bushes with berries, along with strawberries and rasberries.
We have a large green house to sitt in if it should rain.
There is a small forest next to the back yard, which means that we are sometimes visited by deer, foxes and hares.
We live in the country-side, just a short distance from the closest city Vänersborg and just 1 hour away from Göteborg, the second largest city in Sweden. We live on a half-island that lies in the south of northern Europe's largest lake Vänern. There are sandy beaches about five minutes by bike from our house.
People who have come here have enjoyed the large garden and the space and the silence. We can walk down to the sandy beaches, there are three in a row, depending on how crowed you want it to be. It takes about 15 minutes, 5 minutes with the bikes. The water in the lake is clean and it's lovely to take swims there, why not in the light nights that we have here in summer-time. The lake is large, it's water to the horizon.
If you don't like sandy beaches, but prefer cliffs you can take our boat with a small engine or you can take a ride on the bikes for 20 minutes. The mountains are close. It's nice to take hikes there. If you like fish, we have local fishermen on the half-island. It's hard to get salmon that is more fresh. There are also a few waterfalls and man-made caves to visit, the later at walkingdistance.
Should you get tired of the fresh water in the lake, the sea with it's salty waters is just one hour away by car. The scenery is also special at the west coast.
The closest city vänersborg is a small city with 37 000 inhabitants. There we have everything a small town has. Look more on http://www.vanersborg.se/ and https://www.vastsverige.com/visittrollhattanvanersborg/se-och-gora/vanersborg/. and of course they have a museum, vänersborgs museum, which is like a very tiny version of The British useum: http://www.vanersborgsmuseum.se/ (Ann-Charlott works there).
Trollhättan is a slightly larger city close by. In due time it will grow together with vänersborg. In summertime one can see when they let the water flow in the old waterfalls. It's also possible to see boats going through the locks both in Vänersborg and Trollhättan. http://www.trollhattan.se/ It's also possible to se old cars in Trollhättan every wednesday evening during summer.
It's also easy to get away from Vänersborg. One hour to Göteborg by train and by car. Göteborg is the second largest city in Sweden. http://www.goteborg.com/ It takes 3 hours by train if you would like to visit Stockholm or if you would like to visit our neighbour Norway and its capitol Oslo. There are a lot of old churches from the medieval times in the area. Often very small, but Skara has an old dome which is large and there is Varnhem where many of the kings from the medieval times are buried.
If it sounds interesting, send us a mail. We will answer quickly.

The mountains are close. It's nice to take hikes there. They have moose-safaris up there, but by taking the car at sun-set, you are likely to se a few. If you like fish, we have local fishermen on the half-island. It's hard to get salmon that is more fresh. There are also a few waterfalls and man-made caves to visit, the later at walkingdistance.
