Waterfront Villa in Rodini Greece

Hi Intervac members, unfortunately our primary residence in the beautiful Hudson Valley in NY is not available any longer because my wife and I have moved to Greece and we opted for a smaller place in NY.

We are now listing our home in Greece for exchange which is water front on the Corinthian Gulf in Rodini which is a little fishing village near Patras. We also offer the two bedroom home for rent at 150 Euros a day and the one bedroom apartment for 100 Euros a day. The photos presented show the available one and two bedroom apartments.

We just finished our renovations of this beautiful property and hope to enjoy it for many years to come with friends and family. We have an independent apartment which is connected with the home that we are exchanging. The guest house has two bedrooms and two kitchens and two sitting rooms. It can be utilized as two single bedroom apartments or as a two bedroom unit. You have the use of the whole yard and beach area when using the apartment. We have 2 Kayaks and 2 bikes that are also available. Please feel free to ask for more pictures and information of the area.

Looking forward to some great exchanges in the coming years with new and old intervac friends.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: athens - two hours by train from airport

  • sea Nafpaktos (23.9 km)
  • boating Drepano Kite surfing center (4.4 km)
  • beach Rio Bridge and Ferry crossings (12.5 km)

The house is located in a small fishing village and is close to many activities. The closest large city is Patras which is about a 20 minute drive and Rio about 10 minutes. We will be adding a lot more information of the area but if you are interested let us know and we will email you.

If you are interested in boating we have two kayaks and also there are a lot of water sports in the area especially kite surfing.
You must check out kite surfing center near our house in Drepano www.nowork.gr or google drepano kite surfing. Our friends own the school and we can arrange for lessons if you wish.

There are many cultural, sport, leisure and fooooood activities (my favorite) near our place, or you can choose to do absolutely nothing and enjoy the garden and beach. Our neighbors are also great and friendly. Just a minute walk from the house there is a family Tavern with great local food if you are lazy and don't want to cook. Every season you enjoy different local foods, Figs and fruit in summer then the wonderful olive oil in the fall and of course local fish all year.

There are many archaeological sites to visit and Patras has a very impressive museum with many artifacts from Minoan and Mycenean, ancient, hellenistic and Roman Greece, period dating from 17th century BC to 200AD

Also in addition to the sea there are great mountains and hiking close by the house and also it is worth a trip to Kalavryta where there beautiful mountains to hike and a ski center. Also there is a wonderful Gorge that you can visit by a Cog train ride which is very unique and offers a greta ride trough the canyon. See the link https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g315841-Activities-c42-t75-Kalavrita_Achaea_Region_Peloponnese.html There are also two monasteries to visit there.
