Kidsfriendly neighbourhood, Berlin,

We, Lone (37) and Troels (40), Harry (5) and Lily (3), love to travel, and welcome all friends in our home.
We live in a charming apartment on the 4th floor in a building from 1908, we get around Copenhagen on our bikes and the kids in a bike trailer, and enjoy the neighbourhood's oppotunities of shopping, restaurants and playgrounds.

COPENHAGEN:
Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen! offers a great Zoo, the National Aquarium, the Tivoli Garden, many museums and castles, boat rides on the canals, swimming in the harbour, beaches, great shopping and a good night live.
The center has a beautiful architecture from 1600s; you can see the queen's castle, her lifeguard, museums, shopping - a great place for a walk. The center is surrounded by Nørrebro, Vesterbro, Østerbro and Amager. Vesterbro is a trendy part of town with night clubs and great shopping. Østerbro is a more quiet and posh place, housing the stadion. Amager has the beaches, and Nørrebro is an upcoming neighbourhood, with many different ethnic characteristics, bars and restaurants, and also housing the cemetery where HC Andersen is burried. We live just outside Nørrebro.

OUR HOME:
Our apartment is in a 100 year old building, very charming with wooden floors, and it is spacious. We have a large living room with a dining area and a tv, a master bedroom that also has a dressing area and a work station, and with access to the balcony (with a small table and two chairs, sunny in the afternoon). There is a kids room with two junior beds and lots of toys, and the spare room with an extra double bed. In the bathroom we have a bath tub with a shower, a washing machine and a dryer.
Please note that the sleeping capacity for 6 people is 4 adults and 2 kids (the kids' beds are junior beds of length 160 cm). We also have two cribs available.
Our apartment is on the 4th floor, and no elevator.
We have access the a small green area with a sand pit, a play house and a grill, behind the building.

TRANSPORT:
Busses and train (s-tog) is a few meters from our building - you will be very well connected here. The s-train takes you north or south of Copenhagen, and the bus can take you to the central station/tivoli in 15 minutes, or the zoo in about 10 minutes.
It is around 40 minutes trip to the airport with s-train and metro.
If you want, you can use our bicycles and bicycle-trailor (for one or two children), during your stay - the most common means of transportation in Copenhagen.

WHY HOUSEEXCHANGE?
We have great experiences with this form of travelling, and it enables us to see the would with our children.
We joined intervac, because Lone has been exchanging houses with her parents since she was 5 years old, and now we want to give our kids the same great experience.
