Het huis staat aan de doorgaande weg in een klein lintdorp in Friesland.
Dicht bij het IJsselmeer en de grotere dorpen Balk en Lemmer en het pitoreske stadje Sloten.
Je komt binnen via een oude deur in de bijkeuken. Daarna open je de deur naar keuken en woonkamer.
Keuken en woonkamer zijn samen 1 ruimte. Alles is zeer praktisch ingedeeld. Ons water is ontkalkt! In de keuken is een handige Quooker kraan.
De slaapkamer en badkamer bevinden zich in de aanbouw aan de achterkant.
Via een klein halletje kom je in de pas gerenoveerde badkamer, de andere deur gaat naar de slaapkamer met een ruim 2-persoons bed. (180 x 200)
Totale woonruimte is 72 m2.
Wij gebruiken geen gas meer en hebben 31 solar panels.

Sobre el vecindario
Sondel is a small village consisting of farmhouses in different style and ordinary houses. It has about 300 inhabitants.
Shopping can be done in Balk, Lemmer about 8 km away.
In Oudemirdum you'll find a boucher, bakery, bikeshop and restaurants.
In Workum is the museum of our famous painter Jopie Huisman.
Beaches are in Lemmer and along the IJsselmeercoast to Staveren.
Franeker has a lovely worldheritage planetarium of Eise Eisinga.
There is so much so see in Friesland. Lovely old villages everywhere with the typical churchtowers like in Denmark, called zadeldaktoren.
In the capital of Friesland; Leeuwarden you can find more information about the culture of the old Frisian tribe with its own language. Maybe you have heard about the skatingfestival; Elfstedentocht. When there was still ice in the winter there was the big skating game of 200 km in 1 day. it passes 11 city's in Friesland.
We also live near the famous polders, the Nord East polder is dried up at the end of WOII. It is south of Lemmer and you can find the old fishermanvillage of Urk in it. Urk was a former island in the IJsselmeer. It is a very nice stop, also the museum of Schokland. The polders lie circa 5 meters below sealevel. I grew up in the NOP and East Flevoland. My father was working in the polders to develop them.

We are Klaas (1957) and Baukje (1953). We are together since 2018 (both divorced). We love gardening, nature, reading, biking, walking etc.
In my first marriage I changed our house for about 20 times, mostly with Sweden, Denmark.
So I have a lot of good experience!
Now I like to show to Klaas the special feeling you get by swapping your house. It is all mather of trust.
And it's great to live like the locals.
