In a small village near Montpellier, capital of LANGUEDOC, South of France
our house is composed of two floors :
1st floor : large dining-room, living-room with fireplace, guest-room used as PC-office room also, kitchen, bathroom (tub and shower), half bathroom
2nd floor : a mezzanine (+ library) leading to 3 bedrooms (2 double, 1 singlebed), half bathroom
Our car : a Citroën C3 diesel, 5 seats, 4 doors. Manual gear box

A TYPICAL VILLAGE OF LANGUEDOC, SOUTH OF FRANCE
Our quiet village (2200 inhbts) is 20 km from the city of Montpellier. It has all services and shops, sports fields and tennis courts. We live 700m from its historical heart, in a modern house.
Montpellier (250,000 inhbts), the nearest city, is a thousand year old university city, very alive and active with cultural and leisure events all year round.

It is 20 km from the Mediterranean sea, with its sandy beaches, for bathing in summer, and all nautical sports available.
It is 60 km from the small mountains of the Cévennes, where you find typical interessing villages in the inner land, find a small ski sports station in winter, and rivers for bathing, canoeing, cannyonning, etc. in summer
It is also near ancient Roman cities : Nimes,1/2hr; Arles 1hr; Orange 1hr 1/2, etc
and near major beautiful historical cities such as Carcassonne, or Avignon (city of the Popes)
1hr from home, you find 4 sites registered at the World Heritage by the UNESCO : The village of "St Guilhem du Désert", Le Pont du Gard, le Cirque de Navacelles, and le Canal du Midi.

We are also near Spain ( 3 hrs from Barcelona), from Italy or Switzerland : 4 hrs.
