Quiet architect's flat with terrace in central PARIS, France

After a "break" of around 10 years, we are happy to come back to exchange our flat on the Intervac Site. It is in CENTRAL PARIS, not far from Place de la Bastille. It's an "architect's flat", modern, quiet, in a lively area. We are on 2nd floor (elevator), and we have a loggia-terrace overlooking a typical passage of old Paris. There are 3 bedrooms (1 with double bed, 1 with a single bed, 1 with a double sofa-bed), a large living-room, a kitchen, and 2 bathrooms.
Please note that we cannot exchange in July + August (as during these months we live in the country, where we have a second home, and we then rent our parisian flat through a specialized agency).

About the neighborhood

Our apartment in at a 7 minutes walk from Place de la Bastille, and it is only a 3 minutes walk to reach the metro station Ledru-Rollin. In the close neighbourhood is the famous Marché d'Aligre (Aligre food market): very good, very convenient, very parisian too. On sunday mornings, you can enjoy some live music there. The flat overlooks a little passage, typical of the old Paris, where the the craftsmen of the furniture market used to work in the past. It is very quiet, and although being in a very lively area. In the surroundings of our flat, there are many (really many!) good restaurants, night cafés, all the shops that you may need, supermarkets and small grocery stores that are opened late at night, cinemas and theatres, and the Opera de la Bastille, of course.

Echtpaar met overeenkomstige interesses, erg gastvrij. Ideale match tussen twee grote steden. Mooi appartement midden in het 11e arrondisement van Parijs.

Our exchange partners were very precise in all of their instructions and representations. They had obviously exchanged before and we had quite a number of emails back and forth. All went very smoothly and their apartment was pristine. Also a lot of trouble had been gone to in the preparation of their information book about the area. They seemed equally happy and we are planning to keep in touch and do it again!

The house was excellent and they had very detailed instructions for us on arrival. They thought of every detail, and it was very comfortable staying in their house. We arrived late at night and everything went seamlessly. We appreciated the food and drink they left for us in the house. One of the best locations we have stayed in paris

Parisian retired couple, interested in beautiful cities, people, culture, art, architecture.

We are two recently retired adults, Bernard and Dominique-Alice. Bernard was an architect who specialized in acoustics engineering and Dominique-Alice was a psycho-sociologist. We like travelling, more specially visiting cities, either historic or very modern, or staying at the seaside or on small islands. Anyhow, any apartment situated in a charming and cultural place would be welcome. We do not own a car, and we do not wish to use yours or rent one, so it is important for us to be able to easily use public transportation.

We have to mention that Dominique-Alice is allergic to fur and feathers, so the pillows and comforters have to be in synthetic material. And for the same reason, we cannot take care of your pets (except fishes and turtles, of course), sorry. Nor can we exchange with families having pets at home (even if the pets are taken care of by someone else during the exchange, there is always "dust" of fur or feathers that remains in the apartments...).

We inherited a small house in the center of France, where we go and spent some days when we need some fresh air, so we are not interested in exchanging with a house in the country.
