Lovely villa in Odense, 25 min. from the sea
Always looking for exciting and adventurous exchanges - open for all options.
Our house (built in 1935), lies in a quite street close to the centre of 900 year old market town Odense. We would describe our house as comfortable but not luxurious. The spacious and bright kitchen is usualy the centre of activities. From here you have a good view over the neighbouring gardens and the green areas surrounding the house.
The layout of the house:
Basement: has an additional separate entrance, guest bedroom (140cm bed), bathroom, laundry room, TV room (2 x 90 cm beds) and storage room
Ground floor: main entrance, hall with stairs, two bedrooms (180 cm and 140 cm bed), kitchen, two living rooms en-suite, bathroom
First floor: teenage department, one bedroom (140 cm bed) and open sewing room/study (90 cm bed)

The beaches at Kerteminde are a 25 minute ride from our house.
Highlights in the area include Egeskov Castle (450 years old), Legoland (100 km, 1 hour by car) and a visit to Copenhagen (150 km, 1:45 hour by car)

Ja, korrekt presenterat. Ett fint hus med många sovplatser och god information om huset och omgivningarna.
Álfheiður has a very friendly, quick and accurate way of communication. The apartment is very practical and just as described. Some of the photos on the Intervac listing page should be turned 90 degrees :-)
We had a wonderful exchange. The house is lovely, bright and spacious, perfect for both small and big families. My children loved having spacious rooms, chilling and playing in the beautiful garden. We even had strawberries straight from the garden! All communication before, during and after our exchange was very easy and fast. We highly recommend an exchange with family Nijhoff in Odense. The house is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood but still easy reach to many interesting places to visit both in Odense and Fyn.
Absolutely one of very best exchanges- wonderful house, great communication!

Danish/Dutch couple with daughters (in their twenties)
Joost is dutch and works for the local government. Karin is Danish and works as head of department at a residential home. Our daughter Freya is the last one living at home with us, while the other daughters Hannah and Volane have their own appartments.
Our cat Trille (a she-cat, swing door, outdoor toilet) is shy but very easy going and lives in the basement, since Ziggy, our dog we adopted from Serbia, came to live with us i 2019. Ziggy can travel with us (if you allow a sweet dog in your home) or we can have him stay with friends during exchanges. But we ask you to feed our cat Trille once a day.
We moved here in 2016, after many years in Berlin - Germany and then 11 years in Kerteminde (also on the island Fyn).
