Our Neighbourhood
Nearest Airport: Carpiquet - 4 km
We live in quiet part of the city with nice and friendly neigbours.
Supermarket and many shops (including McDonalds) are by walking distance (10-15 minutes).
5 minutes to Caen city center by car or by direct bus (15 minutes).
Direct access to motorway to Brittany or to Paris.
Our house is situated only 30 minutes by car from Ouistreham port, 1h30 to Mt St Michel, 1h to Rouen, 25 minutes to Bayeux, 40 minutes to American cemetery in Colleville. Cherbourg and its Cité de la mer worths visit (aqurium, submarine and Titanic museum).
We highly recommend visiting Swiss Normandy when you can hike, cycle, practice kanoe and kayak or just have a picnic.
You can join the beaches on bike (cycle path go along the coast too). There are many different activities (in Ouistreham for example) and even many casinos.
Our beautiful region is full of surprises. Do not hesitate to ask, we can help you to organize some trips. We provide a guide with the best tips made by our family and written in English.

DE50432We had such great holidays in Bretteville-sur-Odon! The house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, is very well-equipped, soo cosy and styled with love and care. Our whole family immediately felt at home and enjoyed playing and relaxing in the wonderful garden. Caen is a beautiful city with lots of things to do and perfectly located if you want to explore Normandy - within an hour's drive you can visit almost all the highlights. The Lucas family have given us many valuable tips and great suggestions. We are so happy for the hearty and warm communication we had with them! Back home, we found everything in perfect shape and can only highly recommend exchanging with them!

DE51334We swapped places with the Lucas family for 2 weeks. We felt very comfortable in the lovingly furnished house. The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. A sports field only 5 minutes away was perfect for our children. We had a very pleasant communication with the family and can only recommend an exchange.
