Townhouse near the coast in Brittany
We live in Brittany, a beautiful region in the North West of France.
Our house is situated in the town centre of St Brieuc and just 5 min by car from the beach.
Brittany is also well-known for its cuisine: seafood (St Brieuc's bay scallops are very famous), crepes, cider, butter biscuits.....
It is quite convenient to travel from Paris (2h15 by the French high-speed train called TGV) or you can rent a car at Paris airport and leave it at St Brieuc train station; from the UK several possibilities: plane (Dinard and Brest airports with Ryanair or Flybe) or the ferry (St Malo, Roscoff, Cherbourg..)
Moreover, if you miss speaking English, you can also go to the English Channel isles (Jersey and Guernsey): 1h30 by ferry from St Malo.
More information about the house: there are 4 bedrooms (king size and queen size beds) and a study with a convertible sofa bed (and there's another one in the living room too)
We have had great experiences in exchanging homes and we are really looking forward to doing others in the future.
We have been very lucky because most of thé time we met the people we swapped houses with and it was extremely pleasant to communicate and have a drink or dinner with them and even, stay with them.
We've swapped houses with Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Boston, Boca Raton, St Andrews (Scotland), Vienna, San Francisco, Cardiff by the sea (California), Miami, Punta Gorda (Florida), Galway, Stockholm, Godalming (England), Ballymahon (Ireland), Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin and London.

Everything in Brittany is distinctive, from its geography and its granite looks to its traditions and its language. The region stands apart from the rest of France, its long peninsula reaching out 300 km into the Atlantic, however, Brittany isn't isolated but open to the world. While it celebrates its traditions, it's also forward-looking and fun-loving.
If you like walking and visiting, you'll love Brittany's mysterious alignments, fascinating parish closes, medieval fortresses, long jagged coastline, sandy coves, pink granite cliffs, lovely ports and flower-covered islands.
My favorite places in Cotes d'Amor are: Ile de Bréhat, la Côte de Granit Rose, Cap Fréhel and Dinan.
The Mont Saint Michel is just more than a hour drive from my house.
