Bright and Spacious Flat in Peaceful Seafront Location – Kungsholmen, central Stockholm *Open for exchange Oct 24th-Nov1st and over Christmas/NewYear of 2026/27. We are not looking for exchange during summer of 2026.
This stunning, well-equipped flat is located on the beautiful island of Kungsholmen, right in the heart of Stockholm. Enjoy peaceful living all year round in a quiet area by the water, while still being well connected to the city centre. The flat faces south, offering abundant sunlight during the summer months, and boasts a breathtaking sea view from the private balcony. The balcony is furnished with comfortable lounge seating for five, making it the perfect spot to relax with a book or enjoy drinks with friends. Just a few minutes' walk away, you'll find a nearby beach for swimming and sunbathing. The city centre is only 30 minutes away on foot, or a quick 10-12 minute ride by bike, with excellent public transport options available.
The apartment features four well-designed bedrooms, three of which have double beds (120 cm, 140 cm, and 180 cm), while the fourth offers a cozy single bed (90 cm). The spacious and inviting living room includes a TV corner and a dining area that comfortably seats 6-8 people. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, including a microwave, blender, toaster, and Moccamaster coffee maker, making it easy to prepare meals.
In addition to the main bathroom, which has a bathtub/shower and WC, there is a convenient second WC. While the flat doesn't have an in-unit washing machine, a laundry room is easily accessible in the building’s basement.
Situated on the 3rd floor (4th våning) with easy access via double elevators or stairs, this flat combines comfort, style, and convenience for a truly enjoyable living experience.

About the neighborhood
Our apartment is located in Marieberg, a central, safe, and peaceful neighborhood on the island of Kungsholmen in the heart of Stockholm. It’s a very popular area that strikes a perfect balance between urban life and nature. The proximity to the water gives the feeling of being close to nature, yet it’s just a scenic 30 minute walk along the waterfront to reach central Stockholm.
You’ll find grocery stores and restaurants just a couple of minutes away on foot, making daily errands super convenient. Public transport is excellent, with buses (Bus 1 and 56) running frequently, and it's about a 12-minute walk to the nearest Metro stations (Thorildsplan or Fridhemsplan).
For a more unique way to explore, you can catch a shuttle boat (Boat 89) from the nearby island of Lilla Essingen, just a 5-minute walk from our place. The boat ride to the city center is an experience in itself and something we highly recommend!
If you enjoy cycling, there are also fantastic bike paths that connect Marieberg to all parts of Stockholm. We use our bikes to get around the city, and it’s truly the best way to experience everything Stockholm has to offer!

Staying at Søren and Saras place totally exceeded our expectations. The flat was gorgeous with a great location in central Copenhagen. The communication in the period before the exchange was also very good. Clear and understandable. Søren helped us out with extra bikes for all our family members, which was very much appreciated. And of course, Copenhagen didn’t disappoint us - that city has so much to offer and we could easily have stayed many more weeks. For us this was our first exchange experience, and we could not have asked for a better debute. Thank you!

Our family is made up of five active, adventure-loving people. There’s Susanna, the mom from Finland, and Andreas, the dad from Norway. Together, we live in Stockholm with our three wonderful daughters: Selma (16), Ida (13), and Aini (10). We’re a dynamic, outdoorsy bunch who love getting out and about, whether it's playing soccer, kayaking, exploring nature through scouting, or embarking on mountain hikes and biking trails - simply enjoying the tranquility and beauty of the outdoors.
But it’s not all about outdoor adventures—we also have a deep love for city life. Living in Stockholm, we make the most of everything this vibrant city has to offer. From its incredible theaters and live performances to its world-class restaurants, cozy bars, and charming vintage shops, we enjoy diving into Stockholm’s cultural and social scene. It’s a perfect balance between nature and urban pleasures.
We treasure good food, love to travel, and appreciate quiet moments curled up with a good book or enjoying a movie night. We’re also very social and find great joy in spending quality time with friends.
Being a truly Nordic family, with Susanna from Finland, Andreas from Norway, and our home here in Sweden, we like to take advantage of the unique treasures each of these countries has to offer.
